  1. I never got my letter of eligability in the mail the 2nd time but did get my ATT and tested 48 days after my last exam..
  2. I was wonderin if anyone has recently retaken the Nclex-PN in California, I failed the first time back in June, once I submitted my application to retake along with the fee the next day to this day I never heard anything from the board. I waited a week to pay pearson and got my ATT, scheduled to test exactly 48 days after, got the "good pop up" and everyone who went with me got their results but I haven't, is this because I'm a retaker? Or because I took it too soon and didn't give enough time to the board to process my re-application? I've been calling all day, but keep getting told they are busy with too much traffic. Please HELP!!
  3. Reviews cost too much, I studied NCSBN 3 week course for pn and lookwed over the study guide floating around. I loved NCSBN because it was the closest to the actual exam and the prices are awesome.
  4. Congrats you passed! :w00t:
  5. as long as it says "delivery successful" then you can check. I did mine as soon as I got into my car which was about 5 mins after I finished. Congrats!!
  6. I retook the Nclex-PN yesterday and got the good pop up, I used the NCSBN learning extension (3 week course) and a study guide that is circulating around on this site. I think the NCSBN course was closest to the actual exam, but the rationales are not really that great, the price was great for as much as I got out of it. My best advice is instead of studying all these books focus on one or two books and don't try to memorize everything instead try to apply it as if you were in clinic (but according to NCLEX). I also used the exam cram sheet for the lab values. GOOD LUCK!! :)
  7. No, I was scoring in the 60's as well, I read all the rationales and in my head I tried to apply it as if I were in the clinic setting. The guide is what helped a lot and to whom ever made it THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
  8. Sorry to hear totally know the feeling.. Befire you make an appointment make sure you schedule a date after your ATT is valid. When I tried to reschedule it gave me date after 45 days, but also days that were not valid according to my ATT. Today I took the Nclex for the second time and so far have gotten the good pop up. First time around I study saunder and exam cram, this time around I did the NCSBN 3 week course along with the very help guide going around very helpful. Hope this helps and hope you pass!
  9. It takes about 10-15 days to hear from the CA board.
  10. I am interested in doing the NCSBN-PN 3 week course, but want to know if it helped anyone who used this as one of their study methods. This is my 2nd time around, my previous studying material were exam cram and saunders 4th edition. I am also using the all nurses study guide which is helping out so much, I dropped exam cram and only using their cram sheet. Please help, I take my test in 3 weeks.
  11. I took mine on the 11th of June received my results on the 21st.. But some of my classmates who took it a few days before I did have yet to receive their results, so I guess it all depends.
  12. Either flash cards or writing them over and over.. Once I memorized them I wrote them once when I woke up and before I went to bed the week before taking my exam. Another one is writing the name of the value on one card and the actual value on another and trying to match them up, that's a fun way to memorize stuff.. I do that one with meds and s/e..
  13. Thank You for the info.. Unfortunately my board cost $150.. Hopefully I pass this time around.. :)
  14. I'm from CA and took the NCLEX-PN on June 11, I am waiting anxiously for my results so I can reschedule for my next test. Anyone know how the process works for reapply?
