  1. 2 hard boiled eggs and honey wheat toast.
  2. Truly inspirational! Thank you :)
  3. Wow this information has really been helpful. I've been trying to get a strong foundation in fluid and electrolytes. I'm going to get a Saunders nclex book as well as supplementals for med surg. Thank you all sooo much!!!!
  4. I'm starting Med-Surg in 3 weeks and I'm suuuuper nervous! I've been told this is the semester that really weeds people out. Would anyone be willing to share their experiences, tips, or insight into what exactly happens in med-surg (clinical or theory)? Thanks!!!!
  5. God is awesome!!! Congrats!!!
  6. I finish Fundies II and Health Assessment on August 4th. That gives me a good 3 1/2 weeks to recuperate!
  7. I'm in an ABSN program now, but I'm not a second degree student, I transferred. It's an 18 month program. Had I gone the traditional route it would have taken me 3 yrs (twice as long) to graduate. Not sure how other schools operate tho.
  8. December 2013 baby!!!
  9. Ours are all white, not flattering at all.
  10. Oh ok. Sorry I misunderstood. Thanks for clarifying!
  11. I wasn't implying that their program would be the exact same as mine, just sharing my personal experience.
  12. Ditto. This is pretty much a carbon copy of my Fundamentals course. Not as stressful as I thought it would be. Don't worry you'll do fine!
  13. I think when accreditation really comes into play is when going back to school for a higher degree, they may make you start from square 1. Also, when applying for a government position. I could be wrong though...
  14. Haha I do too! I love it!!!
  15. We start next month at 7! Hopefully it won't be too far ?
  16. [quote name=">JustBreathe Congrats!!!! I had the exact same experience. :)
  17. Thanks! I go to Bowie State University and I start next Tuesday :), I was just wondering if we happened to be in the same area. Good luck to you! I'm sure you'll do great.
  18. Thanks, its crazy that I have the exact same schedule as you! Do you mind me asking where you go to school? Also, I asked about fundamentals in another thread and was actually told that Health Assessment is much more difficult than Fundamentals and if its anything I should get a jump start studying...it should be that. Here's the link if you want to check it out. https://allnurses.com/general-nursing-student/made-through-my-709720.html Good Luck!
  19. Your not alone! I am taking fundamentals and health assessment over the summer as well .
  20. Congratulations!!!!
  21. Wow I had no idea. I'm going to try and buy that textbook this week. Now I'm nervous because I'm taking that in the summer II session and it's only 5 weeks. Yikes! Thanks so much for the heads up.
  22. Thanks Moonchild! I really underestimated Health Assessment and have been focusing more towards Foundations. I even bought my foundations book and started reading. Is Health Assessment more time consuming (as far as studying) than Foundations?
  23. I'm about to start my first semester this summer. I'm takin fundamentals 1&2 and health assessment. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
