  1. I took mine on 4/24/14 also! I went for 4 hrs and got 265 ques also! I was like u...excited every time I got a sata...I was still in the game!i took the 2 scheduled breaks and stretched in the bathroom...drank water, ate a protein bar and looked in the mirror and said"let's do this!" :) this was my 4th time taking the test....weird because the date had 4s and I did it in 4 hrs and when I found out I passed...my RN license #begins with a 4 and ends witha 4!!!!! This is my new lucky number;) congrats to u!
  2. Congrats! I just found out last Friday I passed!! I'm still on cloud 9!!!!:)
  3. Oh yeah..I forgot ..I also used PDA by lacharity! Awesome book! I did all chaps! Very helpful! :) more advise... Read each ques slowly....stay focused! When I studied, I would do around 50 ques at a time.. Take break do 50 more, then that evening do the same. Helped me ...I lost focus and my thinking was clearer when I broke up my study times like that. I also took sat/sun off. Didn't study the day before the test either. I couldn't afford to get a massage but I gave myself a mani/pedi:) Put a lil makeup on and did my hair...helped boost my confidence:)
  4. Thanks guys! I'm still on cloud 9!!!! I've come such a long way since grad last May!(2013)!! All of my friends had passed boards n got new jobs...making $$ and shopping etc! I was so bummed but God has a plan for us! Always keep your chin up and NEVER GIVE UP! No matter what! If you made it through nursing school..you CAN do this! Just remember back to all those tests, care plans, clinicals you did for school...don't let one test(nclex) stop you now!! :) I started back in 2003 in college for the 2yr ADN program..supposed to graduate in 2006( 1 yr of prerequisite courses) but, missed graduating by 1 point! I was totally devastated! I was even class pres! So, after realizing I still wanted to be an RN I tried to get into another colleges' program but they had a two yr wait list:( I then hopped in the middle of their LPN program...graduated 2007! Passed PN boards first try! Worked as an LPN until I got a call May 2012 that I was accepted into their LPN-RN program...one yr program or ADN! I was so excited! I quit my full time job to focus on that 100%! ( in 2010 I had gotten a divorce and at this time2012 I was living with my boyfriend) I graduated ADN may 2013!!! Took a few wks off then started studying for Nclex RN! Took my first try July 25,2013... Had 110 ques ....did pvt right to cc pg:( After being totally depressed I then picked myself up and studied again,....did more ques..100/day...used Saunders 5 th ed, exam cram( did A little from Kaplan site..our school had us sign up for it). Test #2 sept 13,2013...115 ques...pvt to cc pg...fail:( Totally devasted! Was sure I was not retaking ever again! By now my fiancé is being laid off his job..I don't have a job and we have 4 kids between us! All teens! Totally hit rock bottom! Couldn't afford to retake and buy review courses/books....holidays we're coming...we were not doing well financially at all! But, God does answer prayers! My fiancé found another job in November...I figured I'd try again for third time with nclex....pd pearson and started to study...I used the books I used before plus lippincott Q&A review2013. Reviewed content a lil more too. Test #3 on February 22,2014... 75 ques...pvt to cc pg....fail:( Wow... What the heck? I was no longer bummed n depressed by this result.....I WAS PI@&$Ed!!! I was so angry I couldn't wait to retake! That )$&@ test! 75 questions? It didn't even give me a chance!! That's it! It's on! I'm gonna pass this darn thing no matter how many times I take it!!! I will WIN! That attitude helped my motivation! I began 3/3/14 studying...reviewing content, doing questions 150-200/day! Using the same books/CDs ...the last 3 wks I did pay 50.00 for ncsbn 3 wk ....it helped! I totaled close to 5,000 questions from 3/3 til 4/22....it helped! :) took Test #4 last Thursday 4/24/14 @ 9:45am....was there for 4 hours( 4 was my lucky number that day):) I had all 265!!!! I took both scheduled breaks...drink water, ate protein bar...stretched and did arm exercises in bathroom...lol...and Prayed ALOT! I prayed while I was studying,,and on my breaks..... And after test! God is good! I went home thinking I at least have a chance of passing this one...Didn't want to do the pvt..scared....I kept checking my BON site...nothing ...Then the next day was my first day of my new part time job...I was on break around 2:30 and thought I'd ck BON .......I couldn't believe it! My name was there with Registered Nurse and my #...Active!! OMG!! I was soooo excited! :) I'm still in shock! I texted and called everyone I knew! It is such a load off my shoulders! I was on this site for weeks before my last test...it totally helped keep me motivated to hear about everyone's success stories...I couldn't wait to be able to post mine! And you will too! Each and everyone of you all struggling to pass this test will have your time to Shine! Just keep thinking positive! I had to fight myself with that...it was so easy to say...oh my what if I fail again? DONT SAY THAT!Correct yourself every time! Write your name with RN after it all over the place! I did! :) God Bless! You will make it! " some people can go straight up that mountain with no delays...others have to go around that mountain with pauses in between....what matters most is that u get to the top!" Xoxox
  5. Had my first day go my new job today...got home checked ohio BON....PASSED!! Woooo! I'm beyond relieved! :) :) ill post more later....gonna call/txt my family! Xoxo God is GOOD! I prayed while I was testing....it helped!:)
  6. Thanks for all the prayers so far! :)
  7. All done! Had all 265!!!!! First two tests I had 110,115, 3rd try I had 75....praying I passed today! Took me 4hrs! I had a lot of sata, who to see first, 2 pictures, 2-3 drag n drop, 2 math, 1 image....I'm exhausted! Going to take a nap (if I can) and focus on my first day of my new part time job that starts tomorrow am:) Want to do pvt but would rather wait til after work tomorrow....just to keep my spirits up:) just keep praying please:) God Bless!
  8. Thanks guys for the input! Appreciate it:)I'm struggling to calm down and relax and not study...did good so far...haven't looked at anything today:) Trying to give my brain a rest before am!
  9. Tomorrow am I will be taking nclex rn for the 4th try....Prayers please:) Anyone have ideas for a quick, brain stimulating breakfast ?? I'm usually just a cereal girl but want something bland thatll help my brain! I have IBS so I can't have greasy foods... last test I took I ate a banana on the way and was starving and burping up banana the whole time I was testing...Aweful distraction!
  10. I've done over 4,000 questions since 3/3/14. The ncsbn was a good help with content review.
  11. I'm in the same boat...hang in there! U can do this! I an taking nclex rn for my 4th try this Thursday......I did well in school...straight As in clinicals! I'm better hands on for sure! It's not fair that a cat test determines your licensing! I have been an LPN since 2007.. Passed PN nclex first try.... We can do this!:) God Bless!
  12. Good Luck! I'm sure you'll do great! I take nclex on Thursday also! I've used Exam Cram,Saunders, ncsbn 3wk.....I pray that's enough! I feel prepared! God Speed!
  13. Hang in there! Just Don't ever give up! You made it through nursing school! You can do this! I'm taking nclex rn for my 4th attempt this wk....We got this!:)God Bless!:)
  14. Thanks so much! Today is my last day of studying....yikes! I feel prepared but still feel I don't know everything...I know we can't possibly know all there is to know but it's still stressful.
