You should not have a problem becoming a nurse because your on antidepressants. Maybe theres a professor you can speak to who can help you review and go over what you are having problems with. Don't give up, try to find someone who can help you or ex...
Definitely focus on anatomy and physiology. I wish I would have paid more attention in that class! I would also start reviewing over the main body systems. I have most trouble with the heart so learn the chambers and what part does what.
I used saunders nclex review book. It really helps. And make yourself study sheets and break everything down. Really understand what you are reading and learning, don't try to memorize.
I was definitely the same way. I am in my last semester of nursing school and I look back and see how much I learned. I used to be so nervous and didn't know what I was doing either. It gets much better, just give it time and be confident in what you...
It gets easier as you get more used to the setting. I am a very shy person too, but when you walk into a patients room and they say, "why don't you every smile or talk?" you realize that they need someone to make them feel better and you just open up...
A chemistry class is definitely more involved than anything you need to know for nursing school. Focus on passing this one class, you won't need to know all this stuff later!
You will definitely need time to study, nursing courses are pretty tough. You will need to make a schedule and stick to it. I recently quit my job because the burden of school and work was too much especially with a family to take care of too. Good l...
I felt the same way, I've done 10 clinicals so far with my preceptor. They know you're a student and your there to learn and they remember when they were in your shoes. My preceptor has only been a nurse for a few years so she knew how nervous I was!...
Focus on finishing up school and try to take everything week by week. I'm in my last semester so I know how you feel! I just try to focus on what I have to do this week and take it slowly that way.
I would buy the saunders nclex review book and start learning med surg! Theres a lot to know and it can't hurt to start to prepare yourself. Definitely enjoy this time off though because once you start nursing school its a tough road!
I switched my major from elementary ed to nursing, you really need to want to be a nurse to become one. It is not an easy major, and definitely not an easy job. Think it over before you make a decision and nursing is ALL science!
Keep your head up. Keep trying. In the end, it will all be worth it. Once you achieve your dream, you'll realize you learned more from failing this one class.
