  1. Hey kababayan. I am using Hurst online review and have used Kaplan. There is a free link of Kaplan Qtrainers on this site. It's almost exactly the same with just a few changes. Kaplan videos are not so great as Hurst's, IMO. Just purchase the Kaplan's Qbank. Good luck! :)
  2. Great advice! I needed that. Thank you. :)
  3. Hi kababayan. CGFNS-CVS doesn't require you to have a license, they are just asking if you have one. I applied to them 6 months ago without taking the NLE back home. They waived the license requirement on my CGFNS account. I got my eligibility from NY bon about a week ago. Good luck. :)
  4. I used the 4th edition of Saunders for the first 2 weeks of September. I would always fall asleep while reading that book. It's so overwhelming. After finishing about 75% of it, I realized that I just read it for fun, I didn't retain all the info like I wanted to. I got worried, as I felt like I was still weak on my content. So, I purchased the Hurst review. I watched all the videos and reviewed the notes and the 5th day materials for the last 2 weeks of September. This month, I'm going over Saunders again. I must say.. It's so much fun and easier to study it now. :)
  5. I have both books. IMO, Prentice hall has good info but way too much. Saunders breaks everything down and will prepare you well for the test. Saunders type questions are very rare though. I would also suggest you get the Prioritization, delegation and assignment by Lacharity ($24) and use the free Kaplan Qtrainers (slideshare). You can find the link on this site. Best of luck! :)
  6. CONGRATS!!! :) I'm also using those materials. I'll be taking the nclex next month. I hope I pass with 75 questions too. Thanks for sharing. God bless.
  7. Hi temcam. I just sent you a private message but I found out that you only have 10 posts so you won't be able to reply to me. Please email me. [email protected] thank you! Congrats! :)
  8. Me too. I didn't take the NLE because I don't have a plan to practice there. Good thing NY BON doesn't require a SSN as I am not a citizen yet. I got my eligibility letter from them today and I will be scheduling to sit for Nclex very soon. You're right, methylorange. CA BON does require you to have a SSN.
  9. I will keep that in mind. Thanks for the advice, keldel. I already printed that out hihi I love it. :)
  10. Nope! You don't need to take the NLE. My friend who is also a US citizen who graduated in the philippines took the Nclex two months ago in CA without taking the NLE. Good luck! :)
  11. Wow! I have all the materials you have mentioned, thanks to allnurses.com. What a relief.. I've been studying since August and I'm planning to take the Nclex in November. I used kaplan for the whole month of August. I finished their course book, did 89% of the Q bank and took the first 2 Q trainers. I'm saving the Q trainers 3-7 until I i know the core content "without a doubt and hesitation". :) I have read about 70% of the Saunders 4th edition along with the Hurst review book and Kaplan strategies in September. This month, I've been using Hurst and I'm almost done watching the videos and the 5th day materials. Then, I will start practicing questions using Lacharity, NCLEX 3500 and Exam Cram until the I take the beast. :)) and study all the rationales. But.. I still feel unconfident ( Maybe it's just my anxiety kicking in as I just got my eligibilty today. I know I still have a month to study and I'm trying to stay positive. But it's really, really hard. Oh well.. Thank you so much. I'm so glad I found your thread. I'm happy for you. You should go out and celebrate!! :)
  12. Congrats!!! What review materials did you use? Thanks in advance.
  13. The poster forgot the letter a in lst. I believe it's not 1st. It's last.
  14. Read this. https://allnurses.com/nclex-discussion-forum/pvt-trick-says-620999.html Congrats!!!
  15. Read this. PVT Trick says that I "previously passed"...is this right? Congrats!!!
  16. Hi Silverdragon, I'm already done with the CGFNS CVS for NY state and they have submitted the report to NY bon exactly 5 weeks ago. I have also completed the child abuse and infection control courses but the NY bon still haven't sent me my eligibility. I called this morning and the lady told me that they are just ABOUT TO review my application and that I should wait for another 4-6 weeks. Does it really take that long? I have read many threads here about NY eligibility, and i believe all said that it only took 4 weeks for them to receive their eligibilities. Thanks in advance.
  17. Hey helpseeker. I searched for your name in facebook but couldn't figure out which one is you. Here's my email add. [email protected] PM me
  18. Oh thats great! Congratulations! I have a couple of questions.. i hope you can help me. my current status is READY FOR FINAL REVIEW, CGFNS just changed it yesterday. Can you remember how long it took for them to do your final review? and what will be the next step, is it READY FOR SUBMISSION? Thanks in advance!
  19. Hi phat, are you done with your CVS application yet?
  20. Hi. My current status is READY FOR FINAL REVIEW. may i know what it means and how long will it take for CGFNS to change it to ready for submission? Last month (June 6) my status was READY FOR REVIEW. It only took them a month. I think CVS is fast now. Just wondering.. thanks in advance
  21. Both. The two forms are all included in the CVS handbook. You should send them already.. the wait is too long.
  22. Hey. I'm also a fresh graduate from the philippines and a non-immigrant but currently in NY. I didn't take the NLE back home and CVS waived the license requirement in my application. I applied 3 months ago.
  23. Hi Nyka.. i applied to CVS-NY just a few months ago. I'm from the philippines also and just moved here in NY. Maybe i can help you. Contact me through [email protected].
  24. oh and also the transcript authorization from.
  25. You have to send CGFNS the transcript validation form, not your school.
