  1. Hello, bumping this tread...has anyone attends any of those schools listed above? If so please shine some knowledge on those who are want I get a msn. Thanks in advance.
  2. Hello fellow nurses, just finished reading the entire thread and what an interesting read. I'm actually interested in moving to Saudi Arabia, if at all possible. I'm a new grad from california that just took my nclex in the beginning of May and currently have my name posted on the board of california as an registered nurse. I have a few questions for those nurses working in KSA. I'm a male muslim nurse who's married with a 2 year old, so the culture and religion does NOT bug me at all. I would like to work in Jeddah due to the fact that it's quite close to the holy city of Mecca. 1. Does the agency hire male nurses, if so how difficult to get an offer, due to the fact I'm a male and a new grad? 2. Am I able to bring my family with me to the country, while I work? 3. Am I able to travel to Mecca and Medina with out any restrictions? 4. As of May 23, 2012, what type of contracts are out there (pay and accommidations)? Because a fellow nurse there now was stating the agencies aren't offering the living stipend anymore, is this true??? 5. If I do get a job offer, what's the ruling on shipping a car from the USA to Jeddah?
  3. I'm perferably an traditional school without the long linessssss
  4. Lvnurses, I went to Unitek in Fremont last year and I got my LVN license there. I like my experience there and all my classmates passed the nclex on first their first try. It is a school that's fast paced and need to be on your toes through out the year. I'm planning to go there again for the LVN to RN program. Anyone taken the RN program there????
  5. avip123 replied to Rosie707's topic in LPN to RN
Good LUCK! but the more hours you put in the more you will be ready for it. Don't stress or get worried because that will put you back instead of pushing u forward. Think positively and hopefully everything will be great!:)

Congrats!! I can't wait to start my RN schooling career. Wish me luck lol
  7. which schools are you guys speaking of that offer this type of schedule?
  8. Anyone have any info on school that offer LVN to RN in the west coast?? Northern California?
  9. Kah5209, thanks for the break down! Yea, I believe it boils down to the model of treatment or focus you can say. Medical vs. Nursing.
  10. Come here to California! But to be honest, we are not as well off either!!!
  11. whatever you do, make sure you are always professional about it because you never know if you will run into them again. Don't burn any bridges.
  12. I'm in the same boat as youfourfecta. My wife says PA is better off because Kaiser tends to hire more PA's then NP's. I'm personally leaning toward NP since I'm already a LVN and in school to get my RN. Here's a break down of main differences between PA and NP. What is the Difference Between a PA, NP and RN?
  13. Yea best of luck. Im planning on doing the same. I think it's the best route if you can afford it because it can become quite expensive. What area are you in? In Fremont, they have a school named Unitek that has the bridgd program. Might be worth looking into.
  14. I too am applying to unitek for the RN program and just need the microbiology. Tui is expensive but convenient and that comes at a price.
