  1. 3.3 I am not happy with it either. Taking ap2 with two other classes in the summer was a very bad idea. I ended with a c in that class so down went my gpa. At this point I am still getting my cna next month and hoping for the best when I apply. If it is meant to be it will be. Either way I have a back up plan which is my health and wellness track.
  2. Thanks for all the responses! I live in Colorado.
  3. I understand that one is a Licensed Practical Nurse and one is a Registered Nurse. I also understand the length of school is different and that the pay is different. Actually, I would like to know the difference between the job duties/hours etc. I have looked at older threads and I still cannot come up with a clear answer. I think it would be even better if there is an RN on here that used to be an LPN help me out with this since they have been on both sides of the fence. Thank you so much for your help and I hope this thread is in the right place.
  4. Wow, how exciting!! Good luck on your interview.
  5. So basically the rules are just like in the Army. I didn't get my nose pierced until I got out, so I will just have to get one of those clear retainers, because I do not want my hole to close up.
  6. Right now I have a 3.44, but I have two more classes to take that I will be starting in two days. So hopefully I get A's in them so I can raise my GPA some more.
  7. Wow, while I respect your opinion I have to say that I disagree with you.
  8. Hi I am not a nurse yet, but are there any nurses out there with nose piercings? Do they make you take it out at work?
  9. Here is my situation. I have not worked for a few years. I currently have a license as an esthetician and have gone back to school to pursue nursing. It took me a while to decide between becoming a nurse or a dietitian but for the most part I have made up my mind. I was not working because I had young children. Well, they are still young but one is in the first grade and the other in preschool. Now when I started at the CC I was taking all of my prereqs for the BSN/Nutrition degree. I will be finished with my Associate's in the fall if I decide to take the AA or next spring if I take the AS. For either program at the university I will have the pre-reqs completed at that time, however I will have to complete one semester at the university if I want to apply to the nursing program. As most of you know the university is pretty expensive. It is like 350 per credit hour. We are only living off of one income, would it be wiser to get the ADN and then get the BSN later, or stay on the BSN track? Oh, and if I apply to the nursing program at the CC I still have to get licensed as a CNA. And I can't do that until next summer at the earliest spring anyways. Does anyone have some sound advice for me? Thank you.
  10. I am not entirely sure but if you have all the prereqs for the BSN couldn't you do the accelerated BSN program because you already have a bachelors?
  11. I have no clue either, but that is exactly where I would want to work. I am already a licensed esthetician so that would be a great fit, I can't wait until I am done with Nursing School. Good luck on your interview!
  12. Just an update I ended up getting a B in Micro. SO all in all I got an A and 3 B's this semester! Yay!
  13. Oh my goodness this is awesome!! Thank you so much!
  14. I am not sure I understand your post correctly. Are you trying to take both AP 1 and 2 together during a 5 week semester? Or are you just going to take one. If you are taking both I would not do that. Please take your Dad's advice. If you are only planning to take one, I think you could do it easily if you are a dedicated and disciplined student.
  15. I was talking about the Master's program.
  16. Personally I think it is a good option to think about. Think of it this way, if you are thinking about it now just go ahead and get it done. You can take your time with it and be alright. The good thing is if you ever do need it in the future you won't be apart of the flood of graduate students.
  17. Wow that is awesome news!! Does your advisor know yet??
  18. I am going for the BSN or the nutrition degree which is similar as far as pre reqs. For the BSN I have to take both human development, anthropology and sociology. I have already knocked out sociology though.
  19. So I am registering for fall classes and I am not sure if I should take this course load CHEM 111 General College Chemistry ART 110 Art Appreciation PHI 111 Intro to Philosophy and ANT 101 Cultural Anthropology or PSY 235 Human Growth and Development help me out please.
  20. Personally I wouldn't do either one. Do you have to take one of these during the summer? Remember that 6 weeks is not that long of a time frame it will be crunched so much.
  21. I have a high B in A&P 1 now but I am definitely putting in the work for it.
  22. Would it be wise to take A&P 2 and an elective over the summer? My elective will be either humanities or developmental psychology. The semester is only 10 weeks long. I have to take a minimum of 6 credits to get my stipend, so taking just A&P 2 is not an option.
  23. Congrats to you! I knew you would make the list!
  24. I wish you luck I am sure you will make it. I miss that area, thats near my home town.
  25. I can't believe this but I am failing Micro. I am taking Anatomy 1, Eng Comp 2 and Statistics as well. I am NOT overburdened I have taken 5 classes before at a time and gotten A's and B's. I am doing very well in everything else. I do study and read my book like I should, I think I'm just not understanding the concept or something. I don't get it. I have put off spending time with my husband (a few times the kids too) to study for this class and it seems like it is not paying off. I just needed to vent out a little to ease my frustration.
