Small Scrubs?
Cherokee makes pants in all sizes in different lengths, petite, regular, and long. I have to buy the flare leg ones that are XXS petite or they are too long! I am short with short legs, : ) I have seen XS Longs that might work for you. If you go to any uniform store they should have a catalog so even if they don't carry your size they can order them. Ask whoever's working and they should be able to help you.

Graduating in May, where to work?
Apply to all of them. Every interview I've been on they've given me salary and benefit information to take home so if/when I get offers I will be able to decide.

Rescheduling to take Nclex-N sooner
You can reschedule at any time, up to 24 hours before the appointment that you have. If you feel ready now, then all waiting until March is going to do is cause you to lose information. Have confidence and know that you can do it!

Moved NCLEX up by 6 days
You did the right thing!! Absolutely. I think the longer you are out of the school the worse off you are.

Genesys Regional Medical Center
Hi! Congrats on the job. Do you mind telling me if you work full or part time, 8 or 12 hours, and approximately what the pay is? I have an interview there soon and I'm just wondering how it compares to other places. Also, how long is your orientation, did you have ED experience as a tech? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks a lot.

Pearson Vue Trick - Does it Work Every Time? Part 2
Hi everybody! I took my NCLEX-RN this morning at 8am, my status on Pearson Vue has said "ready for delivery" ever since so I am not able to do the PVT. It seems like most people were able to do it almost instantly. Did this happen to anyone else??? Waiting for results is WAY worse than waiting to take the test!!!!

Which nursing school should I go to?
I would really recommend that you make a phone appointment with an advisor from the nursing school in each of the colleges you are considering. Have a list of questions and write down notes. Make sure you ask about any waiting lists (OU has a huge one, WSU has none but I'm not sure of the others), general qualifications of the last class that was admitted (GPA, interview or not), and what their policy is with transfer students. You need to get the facts from someone affiliated with the college, most of us on this website could tell you tons about our road to nursing school but most likely things have changed since then! Good luck to you.

Ca RN possibly relocating to MI, need help!
It is true that the economy in Michigan is rough, however an experienced nurse like yourself should have no problem getting a job here. It is the new grads that have some trouble. You are looking at around 25/hr to start without differentials or anything. I would call some nurse recruiters and tell them your background. Try the St. John Providence system, DMC, or Henry Ford. Each has multiple hospitals scattered throughout Detroit and the surrounding suburbs. Best of luck.

U of M or Genesys?
I started applying in October, haven't looked outside of the hospital but I'd say I've put in about 80 applications at various hospitals.

Planning a huge move to Ann Arbor, suggestions greatly appreciated
Sorry to resurrect a very old thread. Did you end up moving? I have an interview next week with U of M. Any advice would be awesome.

U of M or Genesys?
Congrats on the new job! I have an interview on Tuesday with U of M and it is my first new grad interview!!! I was hoping to private message you, but I don't have enough posts yet. Did you get a lot of "tell me about a time when you....." etc questions at U of M? I REALLY want this job. It is a miracle to have gotten an interview.

Interview and offered shadowing question
I have my very first new grad interview next week and it is one hour with the manger followed by one hour shadowing on the unit. I agree it is difficult to feel out just what you should do!
