  1. I used Kaplan and passed with 75 questions, but I don't believe it had to do with Kaplan entirely. I mostly used the Saunders Comprehensive and Q&A books. To me, Kaplan did not provide any sort of content review at all. If you can, just borrow Kaplan's book from somebody and go over Kaplan's decision tree. It will help you weed out choices and make most questions have 2 possible answers. I answered most of the questions in Saunders and their rationales are great. They explain why the answer is correct and why the others are wrong and give you extra information about the other answers as well. The only thing I used from Kaplan was the decision tree and the Qbank.
  2. Here's a working link for the NCLEX 3500. Or works for me, anyway. http://libtc.utmb.edu/nclexrn3500/mainMenu.do
  3. This trick, to me, is 100% accurate. Did the trick an hour after my test, got the good pop up. Took my test on the 14th, and checked my results just a few minutes ago.... PASS!!! Woo Hoo!!!!!
  4. There is a whole thread dedicated to the Pearson Vue trick, but here's a summary. Once you log into Pearson Vue, your test should say " Delivery Successful". Click on "Register" and try to register for whatever test you took (I'm guessing the NCLEX-PN since it stopped at 85). If you get all the way to the credit card payment screen, you failed. If it stops you after entering the school and state board you are registering for, and it says "Our records indicate that you have recently schedule this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time", then you passed! In other words, if you failed, Pearson will allow you to register again and take the test. If you passed, Pearson doesn't allow you to retake the same test you took and stops you from continuing to the credit card page. Good luck!
  5. I am getting the good pop up, but I can't wait until I can check with the Quick Results. To anyone that has used the quick results, I know they say two business days, so basically 48 hours, but if I took the test today (Thursday at 2pm) will I have to wait for a full 48 hours or will the quick results be available first thing Saturday? Oh, I hope that this trick is 100% correct!!
  6. I used the Saunders Comprehensive and Q&A books, and the Kaplan QBank. When I took my Nclex today, it seemed like a mixture of both. The Kaplan Qbank rationales did not really make sense to me, so that's why I got the Saunder's books.
  7. Took the test at 2pm and I got the good popup. Hopefully this trick is correct!!! Hope I passed!!
  8. You have to wait a couple of hours, or wait until the next day to try the trick again. It doesn't mean that you passed or failed.
  9. The percentage is definitely a confidence booster, but all that matters is understanding why you got the question right or wrong. Know your rationales and know your content. Our instructor told us that 65% was equal to having a 90% chance of passing the NCLEX, but it will go up as long as you know the rationales.
  10. The questions on the Saunders iPhone app are the same ones from the book (the ones I've answered anyway) I recommend it only if you are out and about and can use your phone to study. I have the book so at home I use the CD that came with Saunders book. When I'm waiting in line at a store or just sitting around, I use the phone and it's great. You can bookmark questions so you can come back to them and read the rationale. It also gives you "Cumulative Stats" so you can see which areas you need to work on.
  11. I felt the exact same way about Kaplan! I took the review course and seemed like they give you the "Kaplan Decision Tree" and then they let you go and do whatever you want. Basically, you need to KNOW your content and KNOW how to use the decision tree. I am using the Saunders Comprehensive Book to review content and some questions. I am primarily using the Saunder's Q&A book and Kaplan's QBank questions to test myself and see what areas I need to go over. Saunders seems more straight and to the point and is helping me the most. I am just using Kaplan's Qbank because the instructor told us that past test takers had reported seeing some of the same questions on their exams. Overall, it just depends on what you think you need to work on, and deciding which method/source is best for you. For what it's worth, many people that I know said that Saunders helped in content and Kaplan helped in weeding out the answer for multiple choice.
  12. When I took the Kaplan Review course, the instructor said that 65% is equal to 90% pass rate for the NCLEX. I am also about to take my boards and I'm going over the Qbank questions and Saunders, since people on this board have been saying those books helped them. Good Luck!
  13. Thanks for starting this thread, I just recently graduated and am waiting for my authorization to test to be able to schedule my nclex. I also wanted to know what resources I should be looking at. I've been doing about 100 questions a day, but will add as I find out when I'll test, from Kaplan's Qbank and the Saunders CD-ROM. Reading the rationales does seem to help me remember the material better and I get a little better scores each time I take a new practice quiz.
  14. Good luck! I just found this site and can't believe I hadn't heard about it earlier. (I wish I did!) I am about to take my ATI predictor exam, so I guess it counts as a final as well! Good luck to you, I'll keep you in my prayers!
