moving to Texas in May!
First thing, I love living in Texas. I am from here so I am a little biased and one thing to learn about Texans is we love us some Texas! It is extremly hot and depending on where in Texas, can be quite humid. Winters are milder in some areas, and more like a "winter" in others, for instance in the panhandle, it usually will always snow, I am from DFW area, and we will usually get ice and if lucky some snow will stick. Cost of living is pretty good, from what I hear in comparision to other parts of the country. Job market is hard, like most states. Like I mentioned before, depends on the area you will be in on how the jobs are. Texas is a pretty big state, so maybe someone from Ft. Hood area will answer your questions. I have heard very good things about Scott and White, but know nothing about the other hospital you mentioned. Good luck and I hope you like Texas, when are you moving?

parkland jan 2011 residency
I think it went okay. Yeah Idk about the number, the way the recruiter was talking was like they did change the number of residents they were gonna take. The unit manager actually told me they used to take like 20 residents.

parkland jan 2011 residency
I interviewed today for the L&D residency and she said today was the last day for interviews and they would make their decision in the next week or two, I also want to say she said they are taking 8, but dont quote me on that one, she said originally it was four, but then they upped it.

Scrub stores in the Waxahachie/Ennis area?
There is Dorothy's across from Baylor Waxahachie. There is also this place called Southwest Uniforms on Ovilla Road in Red Oak that sells school uniforms and a little scrubs, not sure if they have Dickies, but I would try Dorothy's first.

Yes! I know that you are a LVN, and probably want to keep working like all of us do. Some would work double weedends, but that got too much to handle, so they would cut back to one day and it gets easier, like now that we are fixing to graduate. I only work on Sat and prn during the week, there is just so much studying that if your grades slip you would cut back and thats what happened to alot of them who did double weekends.

Oh okay so I talked with my friend who is also applying to the bridge program and she talked with the lady today at Navarro and that the letters will be mailed towards the middle/end of April, so not as soon as I thought. Sorry about the confusion!
