  1. I remember typing the exact words "random fact throwing" on the search bar. ? Might help :
  2. I don't have US SSN yet. Well, I mean I am transferring to NY by means of Licensure by Examination. You don't need SSN or license to do that, you are just basically transferring your nclex result to a certain state. Yes, since Arkansas doesn't require CGFNS certifcate and the like, you will need CGFNS / CVS for New york which costs 390 dollars and it's a long process... I'm expecting my license mid 2012. sigh*
  3. hi there, yeah I got the result already and yeah I passed. Originally my BON was Arkansas but I decided to transfer my nclex result to New york. The CGFNS for CVS thing gives me headache. I really need a US RN license.
  4. I took mine last August and almost all the questions I got have highlighted phrase and I still passed with 99 questions. Goodluck!
  5. hi MichaelRN14! we are in the same situation actually, only difference is my BON is Arkansas, I already received my letter of passing and stated there that I need to provide them with US SSN before they could issue me a license. Try the PVT trick and check whether you pass or fail, it is accurate IMO. 4 months seems pretty long.. Good luck!
  6. Yes Saunders' right because it is an emergency situation.
  7. hi Kim! are you using the QT trainer already? I got (QT 1-7) 62, 59, 63,65, 64,66,70 A friend said my scores from kaplan QT were great, she told me that I'm on the passing range based on kaplan's guidelines. So I thought if your scores range from 60 to 65 you'll do good plus always pray and keep the faith! :) Good luck!! :)
  8. hi there! I think you can contact your BON and let them know that you received the ATT from Pearsonvue. All iz well! :) Goodluck!
  9. Used the Saunders 4th edition, read it for about 3 months cover to cover, a slow reader eh. :) :) I passed!
  10. Goodluck to the both of you! keep the faith! :)
  11. I think PVT now tells you directly if you passed the exam " The candidate has previously passed this exam...." So obviously you passed! congrats!! :)
  12. The PVT good pop up has changed now? hehe and now it tells you directly? nice!! Maybe noone's gonna pay for quick result from now on. hehe just joking! Congrats to those who passed! happy for you all! :rckn: :rckn:
  13. Hi nursejas_1188 We seem to have the same situation (no SSN obviously no license to endorse) the only difference is I applied for Arkansas BON. I already paid for the CVS for NY (390usd) and will be sending the required documents to CGFNS. They say CVS processing takes about 6 months. I just have questions regarding form 1IC (infection control training). You can send me or I can send my cell number to you. Thank you and God bless!!! Hoping for your kind reply :) :) :)
  14. I used Saunders ( as my main review book ). Answered the tests after each chapter, also answering the Saunders CD as I read the book. I got 80-90% score doing that (quizzes, exams). Kaplan QT trainer helped me with critical thinking! especially Kaplan QT 5-7 Yeah, the random fact throwing was really helpful!! I copied and downloaded it to my phone and read it almost everywhere. Good luck!
  15. Just stay focused! I know you can do it! and remember "prayer can move a mountain" Goodluck! :) I'll be praying for ya!
  16. For me, PVT is accurate. So I think you passed! Congrats in advance! :)
  17. Hope this will help Cushings : SSS are increase (sex, sugar, salt hormones) giving you hirsutism and gynecomastia, hyperglycemia, increase aldosterone (increase sodium reabsorption and potassium excretion) = Hypernatremia/Hypokalemia, Increase BP Addisons SSS are low , low BP, eternal tan (hyperpigmentation) decrease aldosterone = hyponatremia / hyperkalemia Hope this helps, I'm open for corrections Goodluck!
  18. I used Saunders Comprehensive Review 4th edition ( much better if you have the 5th edition) - IT REALLY HELPED ME A LOT with the Content/ Nursing concepts/ disease process etc.! read it cover to cover. Saunders CD 4th Edition - answer as many as you can. I scored 85-90% (number of items ranging from 75-100, you can stop your 100 item exam on item number 76) after I finished the book. Answered Kaplan QT 1-7 (KAPLAN is recommended because you can practice criticial thinking) I did kaplan after finishing the Saunders book. 4 days before my exam, I visited the random fact throwing thread of Allnurses.com and yeah found mnemonics for prioritization and delegation, transmission based prec = A BIG HELP also! God Bless! :)
  19. Hi there kababayan! I'm sure you passed! PVT is so accurate! CONGRATSS!!!!! and this thread helped me a lot too :) :yeah:
  20. congrats! here's for you!! :WHCk::WHCk:
