Moving to Florida post-graduation
Bogey, I do see a lot of jobs in Florida that offer 5,000 sign on bonus is that the same as relocation? And how many years do you need to commit with they to get that money for relocation?

Failed NCLEX 1st attempt in 75 questions
I passed NCLEX 3 days ago, and I feel that kaplan really prepared ME for NCLEX, cause I got a lot of priority questions and what is interesting is that my FIRST question was a SATA???? I Tought you get SATAs with hight priority questions, but being the first one, I am very skeptical about SATAs being a "good sign", I passed with 85questions and got only about 5-6 SATAs.

RN-to BSN program you would recommend that is not too pricey
hi I just graduated from an ADN program in Chicago and I am contemplating enrolling in a RN to BSN program right away. are there any programs you recommend that don't take too long and that are not too pricey. The City colleges of Chicago have a direct entry agreement with UIC, but they require a lot of prereqs and I would like to hear from other programs. Thank you:up:

The Nightmare known as Psychiatric Care Part One
I am a second year nursing student and I find this article very interesting. I had my psych rotation this past semester and saw how frustated the patients get by being ignored by the medical staff (I was on the depression wing side) I understand they have to follow a structure (times), but simple questiones they had, such as :can I talk to my social worker? And they would be rudely told "you need to go to your room, later your nurse will talk to you" other patient would say I am in pain can you give something?, " go to you room, we will be there later" . I am only a student and I dont know much about mental health facilities, and if you need to treat patients like that, but the patients were not aggresive or being rude to be treated rudely by the staff. Patients would mention in the "community meetings" on how staff would ignore their questions by saying they will go talk to them in their rooms and they just didnt come see them at all and how they felt as being "treated as being in prision". One of the only two nurses is so jaded and she was very rude to us, we would talk to her and she would completely ignore we were there (even though we were doing the vital signs on ALL of the patients on the floor, wich other person would appreciate the help. I guess it is challenging to work in mental health facility, but if your that bitter, just change specialty.

Hi everybody, I am a first year nursing student and was working part-time in my previous job (medical office assistant for 12 years), but the clinic was overstaffed and with the economy, it was very slow, so I was let go on 12/04/11:( I have being looking for a part-time job CNA, receptionist, medical office, registrar etc., but with this economy, no call backs, no replies and everybody wants experience for CNA. Is anybody hiring where you work? I live in Chicago. I would really appreciate your help:(
