There is loads of help on Youtube! Look up nursing interview or just interview. I highly recommend Career Confidential! They gave me loads of help to field those interview questions! I went on 2 interviews and offered both positions! Practice, practice, practice the suggestions till the answers come out naturally! Good luck! You got this!

Excellent points! There are 2 sides to every story!

I live in VA and in my first year as an RN and I strongly believe in caring my own malpractice insurance. I believe only my personal insurer will have my best interests. I carry mine through my home owners insurance and it added less than $80/year for one million dollars in coverage.

Just wanted to update: I Did find a job shortly after passing the NCLEX, I had 2 interviews and 2 job offers in the first week. I decided to take the job in dialysis and though it is a very stressful specialty I am glad I chose this offer over the geriatric psych hospital.

I applied at several jobs before I was offered 2 positions. I went to each with a positive attitude and eager attitude to learn. In the end I was offered a position in a geriatric psych hospital and dialysis. I chose dialysis and though it is a tough specialty I am enjoying it.

I've carried my screen name ChattyLill for many years, this is pretty self explanatory as I am Chatty and my name is Lillie. It was not until this past May that I was able to add the RN.

As the mother of a child on life support and having to deal with nursing care for 20 years, having learned so much about her care I decided it was time to get myself to school make a career out of what I've done for the last 20 years. I love nursing!

I have a child that is now 20 and has had a trach since 8 months of age. I only recently graduated with an associates degree RN. But for 20 years that has been a pet peeve of mine. I have never understood why they say stat instead of sat but I have bitten my tongue thus far. Thanks for posting what I couldn't say!

OMG this is so on target! You described some of my classmates to a T! The know it all... LOL thankfully she left our class and went to another campus after the first year! Your description brought back some scary memories! I will graduate in May and I must say along with the annoyances I have made some of the BEST friends I have ever had! I hope we will forever stay friends! You have to take the bad with the good and learn how to navigate your way through it.

I understand your frustration. I am in the same boat. I graduate next month and I have not one job offer. I am trying to stay positive and I pray all the time. I know in time the right job will come along. I wish you the best.
