  1. JesusRocks... Well said
  2. I'm not completely against abortion. However, I don't agree with the fact that a lot of times the father doesn't have a choice even tho he helped create it. I'm talking about the fathers that are perfectly capable of bringing a child up on their own.
  3. I can deal with the fact that I will never be able to have 20/20 vision. However, contacts for my strength are much more costly than someone with one that is half as bad. I would just like the prices for contacts and glasses to go down and the ability to see farther than a foot in front of me without assistance
  4. This is useful information, thanks! :)
  5. Go for it! I would if I could. I can't afford it and there is a slim chance I can have it done due to my astigmatism and eyesight (-9 in both eyes). I'm fine wearing my contacts and glasses, but maybe one day I'll be able to get the current version of Lasik done :)
  6. Good luck :)
  7. You are in Justin, TX? I don't know if it is accredited, but there is Concorde in Arlington for LVN and a couple in Dallas. As for RN, I think everyone has a waiting list around here.
  8. ^^^ignore that one. I read the link sirI gave :)
  9. Thank you sirI and Silverdragon :) So I am wondering how traveling nurses work? Are they only allowed to *travel* to the places they are licensed then?
  10. I saw that, but it didn't say which ones you could work in. Like for instance, I am in Texas and I was wondering what other states I could work in.
  11. My husband thought that too, but it didn't sound right. I tried to google it more and found Nurse Licensure Compact. I wonder if there is a list of which states are included.
  12. For some reason I can't think of the term for this. It has been a few years since I've heard it and can't figure it out. It is where you are registered in one state and there are states that you can practice in without being certified in each state as long as you are certified in that one.
  13. I just had to post after I read the first post and apologize if I missed something.. The OP is in Fort Worth.. well, my husband works for the EMT service for FW and I am sorry that some/most of them are rude. I just thought it was interesting that you brought this up and that there might be a chance that he has been to your LTC!
  14. How weird.. thankfully my school hasn't started that.. I always go in early to get the prices so I have on hand what I need to spend anyways... EEEK!
  15. I thought most places with doctors offices and walk in clinics weren't open 24 hours where-as the ER usually is, so the ER is more convenient I'd imagine for some to go to at odd hours of the day/night? :imbar
