Do you know which terminology course I should take? Is it a bio course? I work in a OB office now so I am picking up a lot of medical terminology that way.

Yep I will. I have a good instructor for 201. I thought the class required a lot of memorization but I worked 40 hour/week and was enrolled in 2 courses and got an A no problem.

I can't believe you were assaulted by a patient and you ended up in trouble! If someone kicked you anywhere else they could be arrested, and you could go off on them.

I am currently waiting to get into a nursing program. In the interim, and while going to school, what can I do to make myself more appealing to potential hiring managers? I am hoping to get a job at a hospital after graduation. My sister is a NICU nurse and loves it. Should I be volunteering at a hospital? Doing any special certification? Working at a hospital? Any skill sets to work on? Thanks!

I work at an OB office and the only restrictions we give patients are: may not lift/push/pull more than 25 pounds and may not climb ladders. You can work until your due date! You will probable need a couple weeks off post partum though. But I don't think they can force you out. You might be able to still do homework if you have a lot of support.

I know this isn't an ER visit but we have an answering service at our office for when we are closed. They always ask the patients if it is an emergency and I am surprised at what people consider to be emergent. Appointment cancellations are not emergencies!

Thanks! I've been on the waiting list since 4/10... I took 201 in August 09 and figured while I was waiting I should just take my last co-requisite. I have a BS in Bio so I already had most of them done... Good luck in your field!
