Hello, I recently passed the PCCN. I used Ahrens, Prentice, Kleinpell Progressive care nursing certification. I can honestly say once I got into this book it was so easy to follow. My best recommendation for this test is to note the vocabulary this book uses; it is very similar to the test but not similar to the language we use in our everyday practice. Good Luck!

take anatomy 1 & 2 during the summer..... Its fast paced but totally doable. It will make less stress during nursing 1

Im 26.... started school with one major... had to change to another... my dad got very ill. Took 5 years to graduate with my BS in psychology(2007). Now I'm Back finished my Pre requisites took 1&1/2 years to get into nursing school and I start nursing 1 next week. I wanted a plan, I wanted to be done but life is a winding road. After a certain point your realize everything will be ok and you just go with it. Keep motivated one day at a time! It is always worth it! It's your life!!

some schools average your gpa from the classes they require... not from your final transcript. Meaning they only look at the classes they need for the program. Anat 1 & 2, Micro, Chem, Eng 1 & 2, psych etc. Find out what the school's are looking for and maybe re-take classes that are relevent. Good Luck

It could be..... I was to start in sept 2010, but i got moved up to spring 2010. I say apply the longer you wait to apply the longer you have to wait to get in. Also apply everywhere then see where you get in first!

Have you bee accepted yet? When you are you need to talk to the school about being red carded in. Only the school can allow you into that class.
