  1. What a great story! Nursing can be so rewarding. Thanks for sharing.
  2. Yes, I wear a lab coat!
  3. I would stay home and study! You can visit your grandmother after your finals and then you can really enjoy your visit!! Good Luck.
  4. It is nice to hear of a kind and caring place to work. It makes one feel blessed by their surroundings!
  5. Ideally, your preceptor should remain with you the entire time you are orienting. I think 2 weeks is too short! Do you have an education liasion that you could go to about this? I would start there. It is better to give you adequate/safe training up front so that you will learn and STAY!! Good Luck!
  6. I think that the place where you are working would rather you go now. Be honest with them, it never hurts. Follow your heart. Nurses have so many options- do what YOU want to do!
  7. You worked so hard to become a nurse. Not all places are like the one you described!! Take a break and try again. Nursing is a great profession and if you can find the right place, you can do what you love. Good Luck
  8. Thank-you for sharing. It really makes you thankful for all that you have.
  9. I would not pursue that organization. Sounds way too risky!!
  10. NEVER GIVE UP!! I am very sorry this happened but you must remain strong. People do fail- but you feel very alone when it is you. God is not punishing you. Jump back in and keep going and you will meet your goal- Don't loose site of that goal! :wink2:
  11. :down:Cheating is just wrong. It scares me that people who will eventually be responsible for lives would cheat. It is not fair to those who bust their butt to make it through!
  12. Hi, Have you looked into North Shore Medical Center? They had a new grad program- it's worth looking into. Another option is to go to long term care until you can find a job in a hospital. Good Luck!!!
  13. The courses you have taken will give you credit toward either an Associates Degree or a Bachelors Degree. You may need to take more classes to get your grades up- admission to nursing schools are very competitive. Good Luck!
