  1. I live in Maryland/DC area and I graduated in December of 2011. I got my license the end of February. I kept applying everywhere and then got a friend from nursing school to get her manager to pull my application where she works. I got an interview a week ago and got the job. I'm hoping to start next month just waiting on when orientaiton starts. Other than that I had no interviews or job offers.
  2. Thank you all for the well wishes! It's always great to post encouraging news especially when it can be so discouraging at times.
  3. I finally got a job thank God!! I'm going to start work in a couple weeks once my endorsed license comes through. I'll be working on a Med-Surg step down unit. I am so excited!!
  4. Congrats! I know you passed because I got the good pop up then get the official results and I passed! Celebration time!
  5. When I was in school last year I worked part time about sixteen hours per week. It wasn't so bad I learned how to juggle things.
  6. Congrats! I know you worked hard on it. Now finding a job!
  7. Congrats! I know the feeling of seeing the good pop up! Now time to find a job lol.
  8. I prayed also and tried to play video games and watch television. I did study a little but none of it was on my exam. You just have to do what works for you.
  9. Okay thanks.
  10. Thanks for replying. I graduated in December and I didn't get the internship on the floor I work on. I tried Holy Cross but they rejected my application but I'm going to reapply. I know that Arundel is hiring I am just waiting for the posting,
  11. Any hospitals in Maryland hiring new graduates? I graduated last year and just passed the NCLEX.
  12. Congrat you passed! I got that pop up today!
  13. I just used Kaplan and the all nurses NCLEX study guide on here that was 35 pages. I made sure I knew that study guide inside and out it helped with Kaplan questions and some on the NCLEX. I also did all my Kaplan question trainers, readiness test and completed 55% of the question bank. Their readiness score said I had a 94% chance of passing but I heard on here it go either way. Now I just need to get this internship at my job staring in April. I hope this helps you guys. The NCLEX wasn't as hard as Kaplan in my opinion but Kaplan gets you to think critically which you really need to do.
  14. I want to first and foremost than God without him none of this would of been possible. I would also like to thank the numerous people who prayed for me. I left thinking like everyone that I failed. I had about 133 or 134 questions and it took me 2 hours and fifteen minutes. I got home and did the PVT trick and got the good pop up "Our records indicate you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time." I just want to say with God all things are possible and you guys can pass too!
  15. Congrats!! I take mine tomorrow and I am hoping for the same result!
  16. I take mine in Maryland. I may look over some things today but not much. I plan to go to bed early and eat a good breakfast. Thank you all for the prayers.
  17. I finished all the Kaplan q-trainers and did half of the q-bank. I got a 94% chance of passing on the Kaplan readiness test. I am just praying and trusting God that I will pass the NCLEX on Tuesday. I can do all things through Christ who strengths me and with God all things are possible. I hope to be reporting to you in a day that I am an RN.
  18. I agree with previous posters please hold on. Nursing tests are worlds apart from pre nursing tests. I failed my first Med Surg granted I should of studied harder. In my last semster I was in the process of failing Med Surg 3. I was totally freaking out because I failed my first test. With the school I went to it's you fail more than one your done. I regrouped and studied my butt off and didn't give up hope. It paid off because I graduated with my degree last December. I am now about to take the NCLEX next Tuesday. Just keep trying don't give up.
  19. Congrats to both of you! I just read through the thread. I've been doing Kaplan and the all nurses study guide although my Kaplan score isn't as near as good as both of you. I am hoping and praying I get the good pop up next Tuesday!
  20. Congrats! I am looking for that pop up when I take it next Tuesday!
  21. Congrats!
  22. I would say that you passed. Congrats!! I know the feeling I take mine this Tuesday!
  23. I'm praying for you! I know how you are feeling because I feel the same way. I take mine the day after you. I am just praying and having faith.
  24. Congrats! You passed! Now I just have to pass my NCLEX I take it a week from today!
  25. Congrats you passed!!! A good sign was the number os select all apply or alternative format questions which are considered above the line questions. I hope to be an RN next Tuesday when I take mine!
