hi, i need help... i was just wondering if i could use my dc license in working at va? i'm planning to look for a job in va, but i'm wondering if could use my dc license. i heard it's not a compact state and dc is just for dc, i need help confirming it. i had my license by endorsement from ca and has been issued here in dc since may '09 but now i'm still looking for a job so i'm trying to see if i could use it in va or not. i already sent hundred of applications in dc and even gotten filled-up in internship programs.. thanks for all the help! god bless...

any review material would do but on content basis I'd go for Saunders and after so when you're ready to take sample questions to analyze rationales I'd say Kaplan..focus is the main thing you must have in order for you to be more confident and optimistic..have faith! :)

just what caliotter3 said.. the scores are not enough to say if you'll pass or not a lot of people only had 50%-60% scores in all QT and QBanks yet passed the test with 75 questions. just focus on the questions and rationales answer like you're doing the exam itself..:)

just do the QT up to the last then do the Qbanks to help you familiarize more of the questions i know you'll pass too! you'll do great on your exam sending positive vibes!! God bless! :)

I've been through a lot and Kaplan review really help me to stay more focus analyzing the questions and rationales. Any review center/material would do if you stay more focus while studying and on the answering question, thinking you're doing the test itself! God bless! :)

first thing first is how is your study progress before? saunders comprehensive review book is one good source to study the content. maybe before you review for kaplan you haven't had enough knowledge on the content. content first then review questions and rationales. it's hard to study if you're not totally focus i suggest you make a time plan on your everyday schedule incuding work have faith in yourself, and don't give up! you're not alone..and yes we all went through our nursing school so as I always tell myself if someone could pass the nclex--why not someone like you? aaahh..nursing you really got to be a competitive one!

are you enrolled in a class too? the question trainers were actually done before you proceed to qbanks in each trainer it get's difficult and kind of different from the others after so, i answer qbank which helps me a lot if you'll see, as you answer each and every quiz, there's a summary that let's you know your current progress and which one is your weakest the percentage is a good indicator and helps you to get motivated to answer and read more questions :typing

Did you take the exam for CA BRN too? Don't fret you've got 10 business days to check the website or rather wait for the mail itself. It happens sometimes in our state. :)

hey guys.. i took mine last feb 26 and found out last march 2 that I passed. thank you for those who prayed and encourage the test takers the whole time! congratulations to our new RN's and comfort for those still who were waiting. :)

same boat here.. I only use Kaplan for review questions. When I was on the testing area, I'm thinking like I'm at home practicing questions. Kaplan is really hard and give you tough time to go beyond their passing score. My computer shot down at 75 and I passed.

]I found out I passed last March 2, 2009 ]My story is pretty long , I just want to vent how I felt to finally it's all over! :heartbeat ] It was really a funny story It was my friend who found out my license number was already posted on the CA BRN website That day, I almost forgot it was the 72hour after I took the test. ]Til now I kept laughing that it was her who first found out that I passed. Silly me ] It's my third time to take the nlcex-rn. :typing The past two exam, some of you might know and might have read that I've got the maximum of 265 questions. And in both test, I've got all the near passing standard written on the result. It left me hanging on the cliff, not only for my confuse state on how am I suppose to start my study all over again since I had no idea which is my weakest, but on the pressure that I had on those times too. All this time, the test is like one of the most challenging thing for me. I had this doubt within myself and the ability that I could overcome such thing. But truly, God is so great! I could be honest it's really tough and painful. That in your mind all you want is to passed the test. I've been going for some depression..really for the two time I knew that I failed. sometimes people who are close to you could be the one who could hurt you. But thanks for those people who really cared and let me to stand up again. The ones who encourage and help me out through those inevitable times. I was like finally! Through all the painful memories I had to endure! The work that I had, the conflict within my family. It was really a great feeling! I'm so happy! :) I never regret that I took this long to passed the test. If it never happened, I could not have learn something. I could have not been strong as I am now. ] ]I could say any review material could work for anyone. Just make sure you do study the content, after you have a good background understanding Answer and review rationale as many as you can digest. This time, I didn't review the content. For the reason that base on the result of my past exams, I'm on the verge knowing the content but having difficulty stepping on to analyzing. I enrolled myself on Kaplan with class and access to question trainers and qbank. In our diagnostic test, I didn't review any of it. I just went there and took the test. It was like 7 months since the last time I read a nursing book. I got the same result that I had on my two past exams. So I had to go beyond the knowledge and critically apply. I practice everyday the questions thinking I'm on the testing area. I practice answering questions that I don't know about since that's what they give you on the exam itself. That's how you feel. Thinking you're not familiar with all the questions! I even woke up early (since I was scheduled for 8:00am) each day for two weeks. Exercise a little, take a bath, had breakfast, and most importantly pray before I answer questions. In short, my test day was like my ordinary day. I pray for confidence and prepared to take the whole maximum questions again. I even brought foods for break time with energy drinks. Then I stopped at 75, which I was so amazed and I can't help but to laugh after I went out of the testing area. I called my sister, and she screamed knowing that in her heart that I passed. I was laughing and shocked at the same time knowing that when you stopped at 75 there's only two possible reasons-- --either you fail, cause you bombed the test big time! or you passed and you've got enough questions to prove you're a safe nurse. I still have tons of priority and delegations. I even had two calculations which is pretty hard conversion. And four meds which two of them i'm not familiar with. with the help of other people I kept myself positive and believe of the confidence God gave me that day. Thinking if someone could pass, why not me? And now that I had the RN to take with me everywhere, it came to me this is the start of the reality. I just want to say thank you for those who were here to help out. Encouragements, comfort and brainstorming. I'm just glad I found this site on this long parade.
