  1. i am a new graduate rn, currently been working for 3 months as a rn at a 44 bed hospital in a rural town in co.i am single, fit, 25 years old, i don't know any one here, there is nothing to do, and therefore i am pretty much miserable. i think i am very lucky to have this job because lets face it, no one wants to spend the money and take the time to hire and orient a gn. my parents, sister, and niece will be moving to swfl and asked me to come along. i am so scared that if i go, i wont find a job in swfl, and i will be giving up an opportunity to get hospital experience. should i suck it up in co even though i am depressed and will be even more depressed when my family moves, get a year under my belt? or take the chance and move to a place where i know i will have a tough time finding a job at a hospital but i wil be with my family? this is hard for me because my career and family are the most important things to me. please help! any suggestions or point of view would be great.
  2. ha ha ha! I feel the same way!!!! I have been vegging out the past couple of weeks....thinking "man I should be practicing NCLEX style questions right now, but its so nice just doing nothing." All my classes are over and I am just putting in hours for my preceptorship. Lets just try to stick it out till we pass our NCLEX.....eventhough we are sooooo over this!
  3. Thanks for the replies. What is the Linda Lacharity book all about?
  4. I know, I dont want to regret not doing it....
  5. i am graduating soon and have signed up for the kaplan. although, i am not sure if i should use it because i took the nln diagnostic readiness test and am 92% likely to pass the nclex. i am thinking about cancelling the kaplan, saving $400, and studying myself. help me what do you think about this?
