New Grad ER Links...
Thank you guys so much for your input. I am to the ED, but I am not a new nurse. I am a pediatric emergency room nurse (basically a newbie). I have been practicing pediatric nursing for 9+ years, and I just feel so lost at times. I would ask myself, am I going to retain all of this?? So I thank all of you for your advice and I welcome all advice as well.

Does anyone work for chlidrens healthcare of atlanta??
Thank you, Thank you so much for posting this!!!!!!!!!!!! I appreciate it so much, you'd be suprised as to how many new grad RN's are not working yet. There are many of us who wants to work in a hospital setting, but yet not given the opportunity to work due to lack of experience as a new RN, and the new grad residency program are all filled and we are forced to wait the next go round in hopes that we get chosen. So, again I thank you for your post, I will mark my calendar for this date!:bowingpur

Encouragement For Anyone Taking The Nclex Again....
I just wanted to let everyone know that I finally passed my nclex-rn. This was my second attempt for the boards. I am a living testimony to all of those out there who are preparing to take the NCLEX-RN -or- LPN boards again. My first attempt was with the total of 112 questions ( and failed). I was so devestated, but I had to scrape myself up off the floor and somehow muster up some strength to pick up those books again. Thank God, I did........ My second attempt, I had 75 questions which comprised of 30 SATA questions( that is the most I have ever read on this forum). I passed and I am so thankful to God I have made it, I am an R.N. I want to encourage anyone out there reading this post and is preparing to test again( no matter what the number), YOU CAN DO IT!!! No one can tell you that you can't. Do it for you first and for noone else. Believe in yourself, pick yourself off the floor and muster up some strength, because you worked so hard to finish and graduate the nursing program, you will do it!!!! I am sorry for the long post, but I hope that this post will touch someone's heart to get back up on their feet again, and give fighting for that license another chance with great hope:up:. -If anyone needs any advice or just some uplifting, please feel free to pm me. We can do it, JUST DON'T GIVE UP, YOU'VE COME TOO FAR........

Really discouraged after testing today
Good luck to you SShannon81, You are right when you said that you have busted your butt, and thats why you deserve to pass this test. God works tons of miracles a day. Believe in yourself, believe that you are one of those miracles. You will see your name there with an RN# , that way you can come back to this forum and tell us all about your victory:yeah:. I am praying for you, try and get some sleep. I am pretty sure you are reading this now, which means you need to sleep:lol2:.

Really discouraged after testing today
Hey amber07, Keep your head up, you have completed the hardest part, the test. I know it is hard to get some peace of mind while those thoughts are running like crazy in your mind. Pray , pray, and then do some more praying. When you wake up on the morning, designate your husband to check it for you, while you get yourself ready in your mind , heart, and soul to hear those very words that you have been waiting for spoken from your husband's mouth to your ears : "YOU PASSED" YOU DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish you the best of luck, as you are in my prayers:p

Any info out there on Kaylim Career Center in Georgia?
Just my opinion, I think you should just go directly with excelsior. There are alot of publishing companies out there who aren't schools. Those publishing companies include names like : The college network, chancellors learning systems, and Rue. Now, I am not saying these are not good choices, but since they all have to go through excelsior college ( whom which is a real college and not a publishing company) why not just pay to go to excelsior and not pay these comapanies and pay excelsior. Just note that they have contracts that are hard to get out of and are very expensive ( I had a bad experience with one of these companies. So my advice is to do research on these companies before you sign any contract. Excelsior does not have any contracts, I don't know of any schools that does. I am speaking so highly of excelsior because I am a recent graduate of theirs and I don't regret one moment of it. Hope this helped!!!!:nuke:
