  1. Vanessa just forget about what she said!! Who cares if you study? Well, YOU care about it!!! I'll be praying for you my dear... Goodluck.. Kick those NCLEX a*s
  2. I just used saunders as my guide for the drugs. Everything is in there and is classified according to its use and the system involved. Goodluck :typing
  3. I got I think 2 questions and 1 ped calculation. I'm not sure about how they ask peds questions, but as I read in this forum, I haven't seen any who got lots of ped questions.
  4. I review and study 1 chapter a day too since I have work and I quit my job when I started to read about the med surg part and still 1 chapter a day. It took me a whole 2 months just to get it done. I do questions too after I'm done with the whole chapter. It's like using step 1 and step 2 of suzanne's plan altogether just to save time.
  5. congrats! welcome to the club
  6. well i got 2 math calculations.. I've read that math questions are low level questions, I'm not sure of it.. but your tests sounds good.. I also got 1 drag &drop and I'm sure I got it wrong!! but i still passed.. I thought that those questions were experimental.. I'm sure you did just fine.. well I'm in CA and I waited 22 days just to receive my results... goodluck!!
  7. im so sorry maeljv... keep your heads up.. i know you can do it!!! just believe in yourself!!! try suzanne's plan it worked for me, a lot!!!
  8. hey i felt exactly as you did!!! I was so confident with myself because I have studied so hard and practiced a lot of questions, putting into my heart and mind all that I have studied (maybe not all but almost!).. I know you will pass... my 1st 20q were also knowledge based and it was more of content which I found it easy and studied those from saunders.. then I found SATA questions by the end of my exam.. I only had 75 q too.. I am certain you will pass... goodluck!!
  9. hey another thing vanessa.. I used those "post-it" and placed it on the walls of my room, it really helped me like especially those things that I couldn't remember in every chapter that i read...
  10. big or small envelope unless it's a thin one, you passed... good luck fellow californians...
  11. I found it via mail... that waiting was a doom!!!!! 22 days of nightmare!!! just hang in there, just call them once and don't bother calling them again.. I called them 2 weeks after my exam and they told me that it was mailed the day that I called... try to relax...
  12. congrats and welcome to the club... i did the same thing as you did with saunders... saunders really helped me and most especially suzanne's plan..
  13. doesn't make sense at all... i stopped at 75 and i got a SATA!!! I know I got it wrong.. well I still passed...
  14. What I do is write down the things that I missed or don't understand at all especially those signs and symptoms of a disease and try to do a research on it and understand the pathophysiology behind those disease.. because of this, I was comfortable with the content that I am studying.. it helped a lot..
  15. You might be thinking that you did not pass but you might be surprised with the results... Goodluck, I know you will pass... With the bulk of questions you have, it really sounds good to me..i'll pray for you..
  16. I gave myself 8 weeks to prepare!! It was long since I was not that confident and well prepared for the exam.. I did this so I would be comfortable with myself.. I only used saunders and suzanne's plan... it really worked for me..
  17. Good Job RN!!! Congratulations!!
  18. really depends on your pacing.. if you're comfortable with studying long hours, then do it, if not then don't.. For me, I study about 2 hours and I do like 2 chapters a day in Saunders and after those, I answer 100 questions from the CD and read rationales whether right or wrong.. Remember, get something to eat before you study, and relax in between study hours..
  19. Why don't you do anything relaxing for you? go to the beach and enjoy the view for an hour or anything that will make you relax.. I can see myself in you right now as I read your posts.. what I did was go to church and pray to Him, went to a restaurant and enjoyed myself... I also felt stupid when I can't retain those things and I thought that my brain might be tired and exhausted... Give some time for your brain to rejuvenate.... I know you can do it... One thing that always sticks in to my mind.. IF THEY CAN DO IT, I CAN DO IT TOO!!! I JUST NEED TO BELIEVE TO MYSELF!! hope this helps...
  20. hey just relax.. don't open books or answer questions.. either you watch a movie or go to the beach or do anything relaxing for you... give your brain a time to rejuvenate.. that's what I did during my last 2 days before my exam date... and when I came in the testing site, I felt confident and so refreshed.... hope this helps
  21. thanks a lot and to all of you.. I'm still waiting for my actual license but I already did some job hunting and applied online.. well, I want to specialized on PACU or maybe med ICU since I'm good on those areas.. have you taken your nclex already?? I know you can do it!! just keep praying..
