  1. Thanks OP for bringing this topic up :) I have gone thru my first year of clinicals and NS leakfree but I always had a tampon in my pocket and a huge pad on. We have to wear whites to and its tourture all day thinking omg what if i leak when you get the sudden gush ( sorry if thats gross). Im scared of the diva cup only because would be my luck and id leak. Ill have to check it out. otherwise seasonique and try to not get your period at all during the semester? lol. I just did what seems most ddi which was tampon, pad, spanks.
  2. Never to old to learn! I hope you find this path rewarding! congrats on deciding to begin! Ill be 34 when I graduate in may 2010 :)
  3. heehee get those away from me!! YUMMY!!!!
  4. is it possible to put common sense test questions in the filtering process for possible NS students? cause alot seem to have none at all. Its not all black and white. each patient is differant. each senario is differant. you need to learn the skill and know when to apply them. just because the answer was one thing on the test dosent mean thats the answer in real life! chill out!!!!!! grow up!!!! Study!!!! stop being so defensive! Cheaters dont win, and winners dont cheat. hey next time you wanna cheat try this... read the text books and listen in lecture. the teacher and text give you ALL THE answers. just memorize it!
  5. I have purchased tons of scrubs from allheart with no problem but i got my shoes and scope locally. I know where to shop if i want a scope online now. thank you ladies!
  6. we did foleys during our maternity rotation but no IV's till last semester but we can do them with a RN or instructor in the room on humans once we test out on it. I did a foley on a woman just befor a c-section. it was way differant that those skinny maniquins lemme tell ya!
  7. Its a blessing for her to get help and for the people she might have cared for to have someone compitant care for them insted of someone intoxicated.
  8. Didnt they do a ped's rotation? :yeah::yeah:
  9. umm who eats three poppy seed bagles for breakfast? sorry If im being offensive but sounds kinda fishy to me. i have had drug tests for tons of jobs and never a positivie. but usually they dont care what its positive for they just say sorry we arent interested at this time. thats what i have seen from managment with applicants to failed. if it was bagles find a new flavor.
  10. Congrats!!!! keep it up and just take care of you dont listen to the horror stories everyone experiance is differant. :flowersfo
  11. ;)If you are asking me, I didnt say I dont study at all but i also dont spend hours each nite pouring over my text books. third semester we had 4 tests and a final in addition to med/surg clinials and 6 test outs in lab. I get a's and B's. Im not trying to say its easy but everyone learns differantly. i suppose listening to the lectures several times is equivilant to others reading. I am more of an auditory and visual learner. I also can usually retain something after only hearing it once. I think its each persons perspective as far as how hard or easy things are. if you convince yourself its hard it will be. I have decided that no matter what I would make it thru. just like levels of pain. its the individuals own perception. I just decided that even if my class mate thinks rolling the huge boulder up that hill is super hard, im going to think pushing that same boulder is do-able and not as hard.
  12. Please dont forget ot update us when you find out you passed!!!!
  13. in my program we mix hospital with the learning in college. i would take the advice of the previous poster and find out exactly what aussie requires or the differances. congratulations!
  14. Now you know to use it yourself befor offering it to someone else. helping is nice but help yourself first. :)
  15. Stay focused and push thru!!!!
