  5. is the 3rd ed saunders still helpful? got the original comprehensive and q & a. thread edited to conform to the tos of this site.
  6. thanks a lot oobie and rafaeltoney...you gave me some hope in pursing my application for Canada.By the way ..what college of nursing are you two from? Right now I will take ielts review first. I am planning to review at scottsenglish.com as what suzanne recommends.
  7. That is also my problem because I want to make sure that my credentials will be approved because the assessment fee is expensive. Nursing is not my first course. I shifted to nursing after 4 years of college in dental medicine. Took my nursing course for 2 yrs.and a half because some of my subjects were credited. Right now, I am preparing for IELTS. Is there someone out there who took up nursing as their 2nd course? Or shifted to nursing? Maybe you can share your experiences if your application was approved and were able to sit for CRNE. Thanks
  8. hi ad64, just want to know..did the CRNBC explain to you what was wrong with your application? What did they advise you to do? Thanks I am also planning to pass my application but i am still preparing for ielts. your response will be a great help. God bless you

I hope you got to take a look on what is written on that bulettin board. I wanna ask you again, regarding the work agreement they are asking me to submit with my application. What is that?Do I have to submit it with my application? And do I have to wear a scrubsuit on orientation day? thanks so much
  14. Oh I almost forgot, I'm volunteering at Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital, tala Caloocan. The former leprosarium. They still have Hansen patients once in a while. Overall experience for me is superb. I guess the best part of the exposure is you learn how to deal with grumpy doctors (The likes of Sarcastic Cr. House) just want to ask again where is that hospital located? how do i get there if i am from monumento station? i'm planning to pass my application there. what kind of exam and interview did you undergo before they accepted you..? sorry for a lot of queries .thanks again..
  15. by the way, what are the requirements for applying? did you undergo exam and interview? thanks. I am really desperate to look for one right now.
  16. thanks misspowers..your experience is interesting. well, are they still accepting volunteers? i am planning to try it out there.
  17. Hello misspowers...just want to ask what hospital are you having tyour volunteer program?thanks
  18. Thak you suzanne for all the useful information. I just want to ask what country hires nurses without experience? because most requires at least 1-2 yrs of experience. Thank you!
  19. Sigh.... same here. as for me, I just keep on inquiring in hospitals.Been doing this for almost a year. When I am beginning to lose hope I just think about those people out there who have bigger problems than mine. for example: Think of the victims of the typhoon frank, the 700 plus people who sank with the sulpicio lines ship..many families lost their homes, properties and loved ones. Many people in this world are homeless and die of hunger everyday. To think we are more fortunate than them. We should be thankful despite of all these problems of ours as nurses. We just have to persevere and be patient. The Almighty will see our hard work and sacrifices and will reward us in the end.
  20. thanks vanessa 81. I am also looking for hospitals that accept volunteer nurses but haven't found any. I will try to inquire at EAMC. I just want myself to be exposed in a hospital setting instead of doing nothing,. Since there's no hiring.
  21. hi psychelle i just want to ask you where is that hospital thatoffers training.because I just need experience for my vermont application. thanks
