hands down A+P 1 I have taken it twice and got a C- the first time and a D the second ughh!!!! and math too. i hate math. everything else i get Bs in. nicole

MY A+P professsor last semester was likethat he didn't give study guides at all !!!! and his tests were nothing like his notes that he gave us. i ended up with a D in the class. i am now taking a human biology class not as intense as A+P is. and it qualifies you for LPN school so thats the route i'm gonna take. good luck hope it changes for u:) nicole

i don't have to drop after all i fixed my schedule so i can work around the times my grandma needs care!!!! i'm so happy that i got it alll straightened out my mom did not realize how important school was until i sat her down and explained it all. she finally agreed to let me take two classes 3 days a week and she is going to get a visiting nurse those times so she can bring me to school and pick me up:coollook: i thank everyone who replied it was a good idea about online classes but i couldn't get any they are already closed. thanx everyone for giving me encouragement and support it meant alot. nicole

hi ladies looking for advice i just found out that i have to drop this semester becuz my grandmother fell and broke her hip last month and now is going to need 24 hr care. the problem is that my mother is my transportation and babysitter and she is the one that has to take care of my grandmother. i am highly depresssed about this has anyone had this happen and did it set you back alot i am a pre nursing student almost done with pre reqs ughhh this just sucks that i have to not go this semester any advice thanx nicole report this comments for post (0) no comments, yet leave your comment font familyfont sizeall images will be scaled to a suitable viewing size. advertisement

i study alot do flash cards and everything it's just when i test i go blank and get everything jumbled i honestly think i over study. i use the website and do the quizzes and get 80's and up so i just don't get what i'm doing wrong. i have a bad professor too. he doesn't give study guides at all in his words "they aren't necessary" so he doesn't do them. this makes it harder to study for me without a study guide. i have missed two labs due to my kids being sick but i tried to keep upwith the material so i would not get behind. well i thought i was doing good in lab so it would balance out? iwas wrong. i just don't want to keep going like this i studied 2 hrs tonight already and i am still not even halfway finished with one chapter i'm just so frustrated!!!! nicole

hey ladies i just found out my midterm grade in A+P is a F right now i am devastated i have been really studying and thought i was at least at a low C, but i got a 67 on the first exam and i don't know what my lab grade average is i'm asssuming not good if i got a damn F!!!!! this is my second time taking the class the first time i got a C- for a final grade. i'm just sooo lost i don't know what to do????????????? anyone out there been there or have advice? thanx nicole

THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! my notes suck from class he goes too fast everytime i start getting it he jumps to something else before i'm done. he does post his notes online but they are confusing. i try and follow along with his notes but its too much lol:) I AM ON CHAP 11 NOW IN MARIEB! and needed this i have been studying 3 hrs today already!!! this will help so much:) good luck to you i hope to find new methods for my notes to help me get an A! :) nicole

my lab teacher is a MD. he taught us CALIFORNIA = corneum GIRLS = granulosum LIKE = lucidium STRING= spinosum BIKINIS= basale for the layers of the skin i think it's cute :) and it does help to remember nicole

i feel the same way i took A+P a while ago and only came out with a c- so i am now taking it over this semester again. i am still overwhelmed trying to study and get the stuff down. i am also a single mommy with two kids 6 and 3. so it's even harder trying to study and prioritize my time. but i know i can do this i am only taking one other class this time so i can concentrate on the A+P. i am finding abnormal psych to be pretty easy so i don't have to study as much for it as i do the A+P. my advice hang in there we all can do this no matter what :) NICOLE

hi everyone my name is nicole i am 30 years old i have two girls ages 6 and 3.i am also a single mother, and i am recently diagnosed bipolar (although i always knew i was) major denial on my part. for the past 6 years i hid it well and used just anti-depressant's (my choice) my therapist wanted me medicated a long time ago. i refused, in my eyes i was fine. well now i am on 10mg's Abilify for mood and 1mg Klonopin to help with my anxiety. i am very nervous about school this semester( still doin pre reqs) finally being on proper meds, i have let my grades suffer in the past two semesters because i was so unstable at those times, and i'm really scared of not getting into Nursing School:nurse: since my grades aren't perfect! i need advice from those of you medicated and making it in school what has worked for you and those who are nurses already working how do u do it ? any advice ? thanx nicole

hey ladies i am so beyond freaking out now. i just got my spring grades. i am doing pre reqs for my rn and am now really second guessing myself . i am very smart study hard and get the material i am studying i just really don't test well. my micro grade came out to a d+ and i'm now crying its my only d since high school. ughhh. my labs were all 80's and above all my unknowns were 100's but my tests were low grades. my friend applied for the fall semster and got denied for one b !!!!!!! they told her she has to take bio 100 over since she got a b. she had all a's and b's in her other classes. i just don't get it they don't even look at a person anymore they just look at a transcript. no face to those grades. now i feel like i have to start all over i'm so depressed over this i'm shaking. what the he** should i do??????? all i want to do is be a nurse !!!! they are even bad on requirements for lpn too help !!!!!!!!!!! thanx for reading any advice please help!!! nicole

I took nutrition last spring. it was easy and i got a solid B without really trying lol. my instructor really nice and she had her doctorate and taught us alot not covered in the text, which was a plus:) it's alot of common sense honestly, and actually i found alot of the material interesting and relevant to everyday life:) hope that helps good luck nicole:bugeyes:

i am 29 almost 30 in my third semester of pre reqs and have a few classes left before i can even apply to a program my goal is 34-35 i should have my RN..... fingers crossed. i am asingle mom with two kids so i have to pace myself !!!!

i am an MA in the state of mass. as an MA you do alot of things in the scope of practice. it is really up to each dr you work for, what they deem you responsible for. i myself will not take on any tasks i am not 100% comfortable with. i can do ekg's however i am not comfortable reading them, seeing as they can be off at times. this is why i prefer to not do them. iam now in my 3rd semester of pre reqs for nursing. nicole
