  1. um, are you in MY class? I'm going through pretty much the same over here.... I'm doing well but I feel like they are making it to easy so they can have more programs next year. I don't want to graduate and have the school get a bad rep. you know what I mean?
  2. I have a son who is almost 2. I am almost done with my pre-reqs, I take my son to a daycare at school, he loves it there and I just go pick him up when I am done at school. I do feel bad sometimes when I have to study and be away from him but its something that I know I have to do and I want to do. I guess you have to make sure the time you spend with your kids is quality time.
  3. I'm not sure where you live but at my school you only need a 2.5 to get in the LVN program, but it's a lottery. They only pick like 90 students (60 from here and 30 from other cities) so who knows how long that could take, because a lot of people do apply.
  4. I usually take 6-11 units, depending on the class. I try not to take 2 science classes at once because you need to have good grades to get in the RN program at my school. You can't apply until you have all your pre-reqs either. I also have a son who is approaching his terrible twos!
  5. I took statistics online and I had to drop it and take it over in class. I hate math as well and it was really hard for me to try and understand everything without examples, someone explaining it to me, or someone answering my questions when I needed them. It was not for me. Good luck to you and don't give up!
  6. Thats how it is in my school too. I am also taking medical microbiology this summer.
  7. At my school you have to turn in a prerequiste verification sheet ( I'm guessing thats the same thing) and then you get you application and then they pick your name out of a hat or something! I don't think I like the whole lottery idea (unless they pick me i guess :) )
  8. I wouldn't stress it, it sounds like you are doing well in all your other classes, doing the best you can is all you can do.
  9. Hello Emily, I too suck at math and I really hate it.. alot. I took algebra twice, and statistic once online and had to drop ( I personally would not recommend online math classes if you need explainations and examples like I do) and I took it over in class and finally passed, with a C I think. But if you take the placement test it will tell you where you are and maybe you wont have to take so many math classes.
  10. I don't think saying that is a bad thing, they will know that you are interested and that maybe you will be a bigger help to them later on.
  11. Physiology for me was the hardest. Everything else is nothing compared to this class, for me!
  12. I love this post, I can't wait to be an RN! I love reading everything about the NICU!
  13. Hi Alliestar, this is my first post. I have a 21 month old and I am doing my pre-reqs as well. It's rough sometimes but you will get through it. Good Luck.
