  1. I have been accepted into a Lvn to RN bridge program. I have had my lvn license almost 10 years. I have never worked as an Lvn. I plan on leaving my current non health field related career As the business I work in will be sold. I remember absolutely nothing from Lvn school. There isn’t really time for refresher courses or studying. I didn’t expect to be accepted to the program, I just applied since I have had all requirements done for years. How difficult will this program be for someone in my position? Will they realize I’m literally a beginner and ask me to leave LOL
  2. oh i forgot one thing. ive been reading on this forum about the lvn to bsn through isu, but i cant reali get any strait answers. it seems like no noe has graduated from it yet? any new info on their program?
  3. so im gonna just do what i gota do to pass the classes, and at the same time just start studying for boards. honestly all i gotta do it just go to barnes and noble and just sit there and study. they have SOOOOOOOOOOO many books in the nursing section!! im gonna start with saunders hopefully that willput a lot of the missing info into my head, and just keep moving from nclex-pn review book to review book. on a more serious note, the schools administration is silly. we've gone through 2 different receptionist, and this is our 3rd head administrator. their all stuck up. and now, just now, halfway through our program, they gave us log sheets and we're supposed to write down how many hours of instruction we hav each day and turn it in at the end of the week..... most of the students have decided that we're just not gonna do it, because it seems like retarded it is not our responsibility to do that. on top of that, all of our clinical rotations will be done at LTC's... no hospitals no ob no o.r. no nada. they say their working on it. oh and theyve already raised the tuition to about 30 or 35 for the next batch. problem is the economy is so bad that no one is getting approved for loans!!! im so stressed about next year, i do not plan on being a lvn for very long np or crna or something eventually but im so scared after im done that i wont get into any schools to do my rn. EVERYWHERE u go thers waiting lists because everyones jumping on the nursing bandwagon. its really frustrating this country is supposed to the best blablabla but honestly the rest of the world is laughing at us; our politics our economy our education systems but whatevers thats a completely different story im just stressing. the school supposedly is working on starting a rn bridge program too. im sure they'll charge 50 million dollars and make us do our clinical rotations at mcdonalds. and the world keeps turning.
  4. ill keep it short n sweet since no one responds when you write a paragraph (in chronological order of course) 1. new lvn school opened in my town. they hav other campuses but this is their first year here THE WHOLE STUDENT BODY IS SO FRUSTRATED! they schools treats us like a business investment they are only concerned with establishing the school and NEXT years students and the money they'll bring 2. new instructors who are experienced and honestly very very good rns, but have no teaching experience 3. we had a 2 month prereq course, it was so easy, that i thought the actual core program was gonna be a load of crap too 4. our tests are retarded, too easy, they give us the answers, so everyone does well but doesnt learn. if they dont give us the answers, we all fail, because they dont teach they just read the powerpoints to us. i now realize theyre not supposed to teach, this is all independant!!! im so SCREWED. anatomy and phys? didnt study squat. fundamentals? didnt even touch the book? skills lab? forget it. and now weve gone through almost the whole medsurg and pharmacology books... and i havnt learned anything!! im so overwhelmed at how behind i am its not about getting A's i want to be a competant nurse who eventuallly becomes a np or crna i want to teach eventually as well... but now *** do i do? do i just start being a nerd now and study the material that comes, is there a way to catch up fast on soooo much material. should i just get a saunders n make it my bible? any suggestions please
