Stethoscopes
I bought my Littman Classic II S.E. from bergware.net for less than $68 - including shipping. I found the site from 3M when I was trying to decide which Littman I wanted, they are an authorized reseller. If anyone is interested... http://bergware.net/cgi-bin/cgiwrap/merchandise?/Z111111 They had about 8 colors to choose from. Good Luck, I may see some of you come the 14th of January...enjoy the rest of your time off.

Let me VENT about a TEACHER AT WCCCD
WELL!!!! I feel your pain!!! I dropped that class today also:madface::angryfire!!! I am hoping that there will be some serious follow through in the dean's office and in student services - like they are promising. I am now looking forward to migraine free Fridays. It is too bad that so many were willing to complain in class but not follow through, I think that they were affraid of what the teacher would do if they had to stay in the class and too many made formal complaints. Anyway, good luck with your other classes!!!

How to study for the Net
I had the NET study guide book but the HFCC website helped much more. I focused more on the reading because I was comfortable with the math. I ended up doing very well on the test (90 composite, 95 math and 85 on reading comprehension). Good luck - relax...it is not as difficult as you are probably working yourself up about it.

How many of us 30 somethings are out there?
I am 36, anxiously awaiting the letter for January 08 start of my ADN. I sold Real Estate for 9 years until the bottom fell out of the market here in MI. I've been married for 15 years and have two boys, 13 & 11. I am finishing the last of my co-reqs right now. I hope to go on to become a CRNA, I have a fond fascination with surgery, especially plastics. Good luck to all on your journey!!

WAITING for that ONE specail Letter... Winter of 08 wcccd
I applied for January 08. I was really hoping that we would find out closer to the beginning of November, the wait is gonna be torture. I wouldn't say that I was "slacking" this semester, but I am absolutely not as focused as I have been in previous classes. I am trying to get the last four pre-reqs done so that I can dedicate myself to nursing classes in January, if I get in. I've talked to quite a few people applying with a 4.0 & 3.8, seems like it is getting tougher each semester. Hopefully come November we will all have good news to post!

WCCCD Winter Semester
I went to the August 29th app. meeting and I arrived 30 minutes early and there were 81 people ahead of me !! I would agree with everyone else, arrive early - once I was called up, it only took 15 minutes but my wait time was 3 hours! Make sure that you have all of your paper work, including the proof of attendance at an info meeting, there were several people who were turned away because they didn't have it. Good luck!!

Is The Entire NET Multiple Choice?!
I took the NET last week, it was all multiple choice. Test taking, stress, etc, was an 'agree' or 'disagree' format.

Any current WCCC students or graduates?
I am currently attending WCCCD. I went to the Nurse Info Meeting at the NW campus and the way it was explained to us is that there are FIVE classes that are considered - A&P I, A&P II, Micro, English I, and Psychology. Those are the classes whose grades are factored for your GPA, if those classes net you a GPA of less than 4.0 they will factor in co-reqs to bring up your GPA. The question was asked if the co-reqs could bring your GPA down, and we were told that they would only factor co-reqs if they increase the GPA. There is no waitlist for the program. You have to apply and hope that you get in. Hope this helps. Good luck.
