  1. hi, all my husband's job may be moved to baltimore so we may be moving from nj....anybody know starting pay at hopkins.
  2. I'm a little aggravated right now..I've been off work for almost a week with an injury, I'm a new grad btw...So i get a call from the nurse on the floor who makes the schedule and they told me I had to work either thanksgiving or christmas. Thanksgiving happens to be my daughters birthday so I need it off so I'll be working on Christmas night @7pm I just found out that the facility where i work does not pay overtime for holidays such as christmas and thanksgiving but they pay overtime for christmas eve and thanksgiving eve. Does this make sense to anybody because it doesn't to me. Any imput would be welcomed as I don't think this is reasonable. Again no problem with working on christmas @7pm but shouldn't I get my overtime...
  3. anybody can get c-diff, the spores live for quite sometime. it comes down to contact precautions and handwashing....
  4. all exams are multiple choice...
  5. someone in my class just failed, apparently it's ninety days...
  6. register at pearson vue too it cost $200.00 a lot of the students in my class were waiting for their ATT to come in the mail from the board of nursing, but it came from pearson vue via email in like two days after school sent letter. Fo those that hadn't registered on pearson it took about a week or two longer...
  7. move on and enjoy the weekend...I took the test on wed and was so upset. I told all of my family and friends that i had failed. I know i got the last answer wrong and was trying to figure out how to go about studying again. I passed!!! you cannot figure that test out I still don't know how I passed I wish we could go back and have test review...
  8. I passed, I passed. Don't know how...I know I got the last question wrong and spent the last two days in mourning. I can't believe it...:yeah:
  9. I took the nclex on wednesday 197q I know I got the last q wrong. I spent the last 2 days in mourning I just checked and i passed...
  10. i never took a soc class ever!!! I bought the clep book and spark notes studied for a couple of days took the test and passed. You only need 50% to pass i think. I would contact the college you are going to and ask them. The school I went too only accepted soc as a clep, we had to take all the other classes...worth a try. think it was $65.00 to take the test.
  11. you should see if your school accepts clep exams and clep the soc. i did it, saved me a fortune and I could focus on my other classes..
  12. i'm feeling it too...197 questions, 13 SATA, 3 med calcs, and a lot alot of who do you see first, assign to the new grad and infection control, i lost count of the meds. I have accepted the fact that there is no way that i passed.
  13. congratulations :yeah::yeah:
  14. i'm using exam cram now i take the nclex next week. anyone remember what they scored on the exam cram tests. I know they say that you should get at least a 77% on each of the five tests but I've been a little lower and now I'm starting to panic...
  15. very very very important...
  16. amazon sells the NET study guide... its the one you need. It's cheap and worth it so that you can see the format..
  17. I strongly suggest getting the net book. It follows the format exactly. The science part is just a reading comprehension. When are you taking it..
  18. guys this was written back in 2006 I think the author has moved on to other issues:bugeyes:
  19. hi, I'm from nj and I've never heard of that, however if you have taken the nclex 3 times and failed, a class sounds like a good idea to me. Wait and see what happens think about the here and now and focus on passing on the test not on failing it. positive thinking can have an amazing effect.
  20. i found out I got accepted pretty quickly, after the net test I think the results took approx 2 weeks if you score well enough they will call you for an interview. Interview = 99% accepted.
  21. Holy Name school of nursing's class of 2007 just scored #1 in the country on NCLEX This is a huge achievement, 100% pass rate and highest scores in the diferent catagories
  22. I currently go to holy name hospital and i love it. the instructors are awesome and always available. The only draw back is the cost. But its worth it.
  23. ok i may be way off here but isn't the po2 level low it should be above 95 it's at 90 therefore i say HOB UP or cough and deep breathe
  24. hi, love to help but I need a little more info. What is she studying right now. Is it peds, mental health ect. She's got to think nursing process, what would I do if this happened to my patient and ask herself these questions as she studies. get back to us with more info. And what a wonderfull hubby you are.
  25. hopefull your FIL never needs a trip to the hospital in the middle of the night, but its nice to know that for those who do you will be there to help them!!!!!! people do not just get sick during the day. They get sick at night and on the weekends.
