To play it safe better create a new yahoo email account or gmail or whatever that does not contain nclex or US job-related sites. In reality, going through one's email, is an intrusion of one's privacy. Even though you are a tourist, they dont have right to go through your e-mail and make their judgement. As long as you proved to them that you have intent of going back to your home country, I dont think they will deport you. Good luck!

I work 7am- 7pm. No i dont get duty off on time usually 8pm latest 830 especially if i need to catch up on charting or the night shift is busy getting report from others. Or i get new admission. But mind you, in the am that I am coming in, night shift (at least where am working) are always in a hurry to leave. Am still in the hallway walking and they' re ready for report and this is 6:30 am not even 6:45. They're always in a rush! Hope this helps:balloons:

My sister called CGFNS to ask them exactly what document are they waiting to update the status because she had all the exams done since last year. She paid for annual extension because of what happened on Test 3 and 5 -it is taking long for CGFNS to update the 17000 passers VISA SCREEN. We asked if they want us to send the certificate issued by PRC or DOLE. The only thing they said is we are waiting for a document. They wouldnt give details of when they will update the file or what documents are they waiting. If they cant handle the load and could not give estimates, they should give it to other agencies who can handle the load. We cant wait forever. They will say, "Be Patient, etc. I told them dont you think almost 4 months of waiting is not patient, and they are earning from expired VISA SCREENs. I mean come to think of it, this is unexpected and the delay is on their part and they wont give any news or information as to the time. So all VISA SCREEN applicants will just have to be patient... Im not sure but you guys can verify. Keep us posted. This was just last month. THings might have changed.

Has this been received and accepted by CGFNS? I also have problems with CGFNS regarding this issue? If you call them they will say they are waiting for electronic file but can not give time estimate. So when did you send yours. There's 17000 passers:angryfire

I just want to share that I have a friend who ended up taking the NLE. She thought that CGFNS wouldnt require NLE anymore (She called CGFNS, emailed them) but her VISA SCREEN wouldnt be issued so she decided to take the NLE and her VISA SCREEN was released. So better take the NLE. It's not required to take NCLEX but CGFNS or IMMIGRATION because I remembered last year when I filed my papers, the lawyer attached copy of my PHIL LICENSE along with VISA SCREEN CERTIFICATE. I guess it will depend on who's the consul who's gonna approve your paper. Apart from saying that you're NCLEX-passed, BSN-educated, you would want them to know that your licensed in your country, right? Dont let them have any doubts.

I just want to add that the reason why I personally think that peso appreciates is because there's more dollar supply (either through remittances our number 1 dollar supplier). The basis of foreign exchange market is really supply and demand. It also means that if there is low demand for dollars it implies that there is low manufacturing/production output because most of the raw materials are imported and paid in US dollar. This is not also good for the economy. On the other hand, if peso depreciates (it means there's more demand for US dollars- causing it to increase against the peso), this can signal importing of products and greater manufacturing output. Bottomline, companies want to hedge for the future and takes calculated risks by importing raw material items at good peso rate (i.e. when peso appreciates) but in the long run demand for US dollar will also drive it up. And foreign loans is an artificial way to finance your reserves because it comes at a high price- remember your interest payments are also quoted at higher rate! The number one source of income of the banks is borrowings/loans. In my opinion, the sound measure of country's economy is GNP/GDP and value of bank reserves. :balloons:

I got my Receipt of Notice for the 3 cases that was filed last Aug 8, 2006. I filed my EAD, 480, 485. Is there anyone who got their EAD process at Texas Service Center? How long is your processing time? thanks.

Hi Ms Suzanne, I am currently in the US. My employer filed my I-140, 485 and EAD (medical exam, visa screen and the attached checks) yesterday. How will retrogression affect my stay in the US? My 6 months stay is valid up to Oct 15. Will i be able to work if my EAD is approved? I understand that my Adjustment of Status will be delayed when retrogression sets in. What will be the first document that i will expect to receive from USCIS? Will they send it to my home address or thru my lawyer? Is it true that I may not be able to go home until the whole process is over? In between the waiting time, can i avail of an Advance Parole or you wouldnt suggest? thank you so much.
