  2. Just accepted Post-grad UPenn adult acute care.
  3. The poster hasn't been active for 3 years.
  4. Per their website. Latest notification mid-March. I applied in August and just received admission for their Spring part time program 2 days ago.
  5. I can tell you for 2K a year union dues you get pension, full health insurance, 13 days off (4 weeks), 8 holidays, 3 conference days. For comparison NYU has 4.5 weeks vacation im not sure about holidays and personal days, their top tier health plans is about 6 k a year for family, they give like 4-5% a year in 403b
  6. That doesn't seem to competitive anymore. Maimonides Med starts at 99k with 2k BSN differential. 6K night shift differential.
  7. New grad. Hospital medicine. 127k starting 5 weeks vacation, 8 holiday, 2 weeks cme 2500$, sick days, 1 week conference. Full medical benefits, pension. 3% annual raise. Work 3 days a week.

  12. I know some people who went directly lpn to rn without stopping. It's not exactly a year. I did lpn first never regretted it.

  14. I've never been a CNA but I know it's back breaking work.
  15. I think ED nursing is far from "solid broad knowledge". I've never been an ED nurse but pretty much every body that comes in Cardiac = do this Pulmonary = do that Neuro = something else it's very protocol driven so the knowledge is probably not as broad as you may think. But yes you will have great experiences in the ED.

  18. You really shouldn't look towards only one hospital. I'm certified in 2 specialties and have 2 years experience and I can't get them to respond to a resume of mine.

  20. I had a 2.53 gpa and I went to University of Phoenix MSNed program. I took 4 classes and transfered to a local AGNP program.
  21. I had 99 percentile but I took it in 2007, there was no science.
