Don't listen to your snarky extrovert instructor. There are 'some' extroverts that think introverts can't 'make it' in any line of work or aren't quite as smart because we think and react in a different way. Personally I think it would b easier to be pregnant toward the end of your program than caring for your newborn at the beginning. That means you could start trying halfway through your program-good compromise in my book.

The previous employers or co-workers never told you why you were fired "from almost every job" you have had?? That seems a bit odd.

Flood this Spring plus oil boom makes housing a challenge and/or expensive.

Do you know anyone still working at the place you both worked for 3 years? That may give you a LOT of insight....... maybe he was fired or quit when asked to leave, etc. Oh, always send a thank you note/card. Have been part of the hiring process and those that didn't write a note/card/e-mail expressing their interest did NOT get second interviews.

If anyone does get a job there you may want to work it in your deal for a place to live. The flood from this past year has any type of rental, including rooms hard to come by as well as the oil boom-hole in the walls rent for $$$.

Live in Wisconsin and there are SEVERAL job openings where I live (not in the middle of nowhere) we hire new grads at times too.

They come in different widths. I could see them coming off if you have narrow feet and don't get the narrow width. Only the heal is free, not the entire foot. They are used pretty standardly in the service industry. Never came off my feet for codes, backwards bed moving, etc.

Been wearing the Dansko clogs for years-no achey legs or fatigue like when I wore running shoes. They aren't for everyone and you do need to get used to them. Worth every penny!!

I loathe math but knew it was important to get through college and work effectively and safely as a nurse. Got a tutor and began to understand math instead of running away from it. Best decision ever! That way you don't limit yourself.

There is something to be said about work/life balance. Pursue the PCCN, offer to teach a class or 2 for your unit-keeping you engaged and challenged or wrok on a project workgroup. Good luck!

Debt is not easy to deal with, especially when jobs are difficult to obtain. Living with parents, working part-time, cutting expenses every chance you can, loans at the lowest amount so the burden is less when you are done. Graduated in '92 without debt, had some scholarships, worked, lived with my parents, no credit cards, no shopping, no big trips-waited for that after college and a job.

I have never signed a consent for the immunizations of my children. Do parents sign a consent for every single medication they receive while in the hospital? Not a Pedi. nurse so not sure.

You would need to sign with an AHA Training Center (reputable) that offers the online portion, will send you a key code to do the online portion and then you would need to come in for the in-person skills check. Don't know of any AHA-endorsed CPR course that doesn't have a skills portion.

At your current job-would they have bumped you up to .9 or 1.0 prior to hiring these new people? That would have been the ideal-probably better benefits too! Talk with your manager about your desire for more hours or changed from part-time to full-time status.-if that is what you would desire.

Have a great friend who did not have total ovarian failure(did tests on eggs and sperm and found nothing wrong) but had many IUIs, miscarriages, 2 rounds of IVF, surgeries and perplexed infertility doctor. MD suggested egg donor-they were on an adoption waiting list and decided this was an option they hadn't considered. Egg donor and successful, full-term pregnancy-never a regret for her and her husband of how they had their children.

That is the policy at my facility.

I have family members that work for non-medical companies that take these psychological as well as critical thinking and manual tests (these were not factory labor jobs). A right fit BEFORE someone is hired makes perfect sense. BUT that shouldn't be the only criteria (psych test), still don't blame them. If you were really low on the score 50 vs. a 75 cut off would mean more to me than someone who scored 70 when 75 is a cut off.
