My contract ended 12/7 (not released yet, waiting for the board) and last month, I was tested 5 times in 3 weeks. It definitely ramps up at the end.

I was in a situation somewhat similar to yours. During Covid, we were permitted to do oral swabs on video at home. After being in the program for nearly 3 years (was almost finished & never had issues), my very first sample came back +THC- which was completely inaccurate. I had to fight tooth and nail to prove my innocence. I immediately got a hair test, which was negative. Hired a lawyer & he fought with the board. They extended my sentence by one year. I’m still reeling over it. Anyway, my advice is to get a hair test and secure an attorney ASAP. Apparently, the only reason I had extended one year and not 3 was bc of the negative hair test. I’m pretty sure it’s a standard panel, plus additinal psych meds and Benadryl.

I usually have option 3 and from what I’ve read, my best guess is that it’s a basic drug panel.

Typically twice a month, sometimes 3. In PA.

I know of a lot of colleagues on probation were able to land a job in the drug/alcohol rehab setting. Also, LTACHs tend to be probation friendly. Good luck!

I’m sorry all of this happened to you! My opinion is that they’re testing more frequently because you’re near the end. Most people say this is what hap happened to them as well. If there was an issue with your first test in May, they would have notified you already. You’re almost done, hang in there!

Get a lawyer ASAP!! I was in a similar situation, almost finished monitoring & I actually had a false positive. They threatened to take my license because I wouldn’t admit to wrongdoing. My case was pushed to the board. Anyway, really long story- but had I not had a lawyer fighting on my behalf, I’d be in DMU right now. Get a lawyer!

I am in PNAP so I’m pretty familiar with them. Please consult an attorney. I promise it’ll save you a lot of grief. Not sure where in PA you are, but there is an excellent Philadelphia based attorney that will come up first with a Google search. If you have any more questions, I am here! Hey! I’ve been in PNAP for 3 years. It is reallllly overwhelming at first, but I promise it’ll get easier. As long as you’re compliant with the program, there is no disciplinary action on your license. The fact that you’re in PNAP is confidential to everyone other than your employer. It is 100% necessary to tell your employee, as you have to submit monthly progress reports to PNAP, which includes where you’re working. Your employer also has to submit a brief report to them every 3 months. You do not have to disclose the reason you’re in the program to your employer. This program is totally doable as long as you’re compliant. If you have any more questions, please ask!!

I’m in PNAP too & am extremely grateful for my CM- she has been wonderful. She even advocated for me when I had a false positive, and after dealing with the board & having a HORRIFIC experience (a whole other terrible story), I realized PNAP is simply a liaison between us & the board and their advocacy holds some, but very little bearing. Anyway, big congrats on nearing the end!! Your test appears totally negative, even if the line is faint.

I’m in PNAP as well. As long as you have the documentation to back it up, you should be fine.

So my story is a little weird, but similar. I am already in the “program”- actually almost finished. I had an oral swab come up +THC. I did not use THC. The board threatened my license & said I was subject to disciplinary action because I did not admit to wrongdoing. I got a hair test- totally negative and hired a lawyer. The lawyer & hair test saved me from disciplinary action, but they added a year onto my sentence. A total injustice, but I had to roll with it. You want to avoid this program at all costs- especially if you truly did not use. I would contact a lawyer ASAP & def proceed with the hair test. The timeframe has been over 2 months and in the meantime, I had to resign from my job. I still have not been given permission to return to work.

If you are maintaining your innocence, do not submit! Get a hair follicle test & an attorney ASAP!! I was in a situation of a false positive & this helped greatly.
