  1. Hi, I’m in the SC RPP and just got a call from my case manager stating that my urine screens since I had COVID in august showed “interference”. She skirted around what kind of interference it was and kept asking if I had taken anything. I won’t even eat soy sauce- I would never take anything. Ever since I had COVID the lab I go to doesn’t split my urine drug screens. I go right after my nighttime shifts in the ED and never drink water. I’ve been in a year and two months and have not had any problems until now. I go where I go because I don’t have to pay a copay or wait 3 hours. Has anyone had this before? It’s very frustrating. I requested the records and it showing insufficient amount or lc/ms interference
  2. I've been in a year in the SC Recovering Professionals program. I test 2 times minimum a month and have gone up to three in longer months. I budget at least $300 a month.
  3. Thank you for this! I’m waiting to hear back about my acceptance to WGU. I have disciplinary action on my license for a year and am enrolled in an alternative to discipline program for the next 4 years (got arrested twice and now have been sober a year). My case has to go to the admissions committee and I find out soon whether they said. I’m still researching to be prepared
  4. I’m in the South Carolina Recoverinf Professionals Program post two arrests and one false report to the board. I’ve been compliant and just hit my 1 year sobriety date. I’m also on Probation until April but I did not lose my narcotic privlidges since nothing was narcotic related. That being said, I decided to try to go back for my BSN at Western Governor’s online. I submitted everything they wanted and I made it clear to mh advisor what would show up with my background check (still doing community service). They were unhappy when they asked me where their school would be at on my priority list when I said “Behind my sobriety, children and current employment in that order.” They said their admissions team has to review my case. Has anyone gone back to school and experienced difficulties?
  5. I feel you. Sometimes I do debate leaving the field, but my boss never gave up on me (and I've put her through the wringer, that's for sure). I want to finish to be there for the nurses that will come after me just like the nurses that guide me now. I would be absolutely lost without them.
  6. Why would you want to shave everything, including your head hair, and cut your nails short? That would look really bad to the board if you went in completely hairless head to toe- it shows you have something to hide. I've yet to have a hair test done, but I heard they can make something of anything (even pubic hair) and if they can't they will mark it as a fail/positive.
  7. There's a specific drug test. Ambien was one of my addictions. I had been on it a decade (since the ripe ole' age of 18) and they did a librium trial to get me off. This week my rehab (I'm in intense outpatient rehab for 8 weeks on top of the 5 year board program) program sent out my urine without telling me and it was negative for ambien.
