Pray for our firefighters please

I'd like to ask for prayers for the Pacific NW in particular, and generally for the safety of firefighters everywhere. Also, that those who've been evacuated can cope, and those who've lost their homes will be helped. And please pray that this smoke won't harm any vulnerable people. And Lord, please comfort the families of our 3 fallen firefighters here, Amen.

Thanks in advance. Please add your own intentions.

It feels like the entire Pacific NW is on fire. The smoke is thick even in areas like the metro areas of the mid-Willamette Valley, where there are no actual fires burning. Very difficult for people with breathing problems. We've had to keep the windows and doors closed all day because the smoke is so bad.

Will do. Sorry you guys are going through all this.

It's bad, so bad they have asked volunteer citizens to drive heavy equipment. There are simply no firefighters left. Fort Lewis is sending 200 soldiers though.

Hope for you all, from my home to yours.

As the sister of, and friends with many in Fire Service, they are always in my thoughts, especially out there in that inferno.

The smoke has been awful where I live, and I don't live particularly close to any of the fires. I work with several nurses who work as wildland firefighters over the summer.
