note: this thread is not intended for a discussion concerning the pros and cons of the 2 year degree vs. the 4 year degree. this has been/is being discussed at length in several other threads (and on several other websites).

i am simply curious to find out what per cent of registered nurses have obtained a diploma, an associates degree, or a bachelors in nursing.

heck, you don't even have to reply, just vote :)

thanks!!

No Debate, just saying I'm surprised that the majority of voters are BSN. I would have thought the majority of grads are from ADN programs. Maybe it's just where I'm from.

(Picky detail: 3 year hospital schools grant diplomas, not certificate. There's no such thing (in the US) as a "certificate nurse.")

Your poll has been edited to list "Diploma" as a choice.

Diploma RN and very, very proud of it.:balloons:

I am still a nursing student but will be graduating May 2006 with an ADN.

Specializes in psych both adult and kids, cardiac.

I have an ADN but at my college it is an Associate of Science in Nursing to be able to transfer. Looking to get my BSN or more. :)

I have an ASN...so I can't vote!

Just for "the record," I, too, am (and always will be) a very proud diploma nurse! Since then, though, I have also completed a BSN and MSN.

Specializes in Psych, Med/Surg, LTC.
