Oct 17, 201312 yr I know we're halfway through Fall Semester now, and that a lot of us are busy body planners. We have to be, right? What are you planned schedules for Spring? Here's mine:Anatomy and Physiology 2 with LabCertified Nursing Assistant with LabHistory - online English - onlineEqualing out to 16 credits! Oct 17, 201312 yr I hope to be accepted to nursing school and be taking nursing courses during the spring. Omg so excited!Sent from my iPhone using allnurses.com
Oct 17, 201312 yr My "plan" is A&P 1 and Human Growth & Dev. I think we register at the end of the month or first week of November. I also work full-time so it'll be a busy semester for me:)
Oct 17, 201312 yr My plan is to take A&P II with lab and Micro with lab this spring. These will be my last two pre-reqs before I can apply to the nursing program!
Oct 18, 201312 yr I will be applying to two adn programs one in February and the other one in March. I also will be taking the teas test in January. But in the Spring I'm plan on taking:Intro to Inorganic Chemistry:banghead:English Composition IIU.S History IIElementary Statistics
Oct 18, 201312 yr I'm finishing my BS in Psychology and then applying to ABSN programs next fall :)My spring 2014 classes:Research Methods (psych class)Chemistry (integrated) - organic, inorganic and biochemPsych elective (I'm thinking maybe gerontology)I might take another psych elective during the spring, but not sure which one yet. Has anyone else here taken an integrated chem class?
Oct 18, 201312 yr My school is on a quarter system, so I'll include both winter and spring quarters Winter 2014:Intro to StatsGeneral Biology w/labSpring 2014:Intro to ChemCross Cultural Medicine (Anthro)
Oct 18, 201312 yr Anatomy and PhysiologyMicrobiologyPharmacologyLast three pre-requistes to be accepted into the Paramedic/LPN to RN Bridge.
Oct 18, 201312 yr Im on a break...Im planning a cruise :)Ahh I'm so jealous! Anyway, for spring, I'll be taking:MicroMathAnd 3 intro nursing classes. My school is weird for the BSN program... they have 3 nursing classes that are part of the program that you have to get an override for and the semester after you take them, you apply to the program. I'm thinking about adding the intro psych class that I'll need at some point as an online class. If I don't do it in the spring I'll probably take it in the summer.
Oct 19, 201312 yr Next semester will be my last semester of gen eds. I'll be taking Human Growth &Development, and Nutrition. I'll be taking them online like I'm doing right now (2 sciences and a math). I may throw in statistics next semester if I'm feeling brave because I believe a lot of the BSN programs I looked at require it (I'm going ADN first). I wish my school had a wintermester so I could just take those 2 classes in a short span and be done with it!
Oct 19, 201312 yr I think Spring will be my most intense semester of pre-reqs. It's going to be something like 16 hours total, but smushed into 8 week sessions (except A&P II). Thankfully, I do pretty well in online classes, so that's what the majority of my classes will consist of (save for the ones most related to nursing).A&P II - entire semesterCollege Algebra - first half of the semesterPsychology: Growth and Development - first half of the semester (online)History - second half of the semester (online)Nutrition - second half of the semester (online)
