Hello All,

I know there a bunch of other threads like this, but I wanted to inform the AllNurses community that I passed the CEN test today! The other threads about the CEN cert with study tips really helped me!

Congrats! It's a tough test.

congratulations!!!

YEAH!! So, sit down, drink a glass of wine and sign up to take the CPEN.

You will certainly pass it also.

Good job.

Exactly what I was going to say -- CPEN next!! If you have an ENPC book, it's a great resource for a quick once-over before the CPEN, but you should be pretty prepared with the CEN stuff...

I was seriously considering taking the CPEN exam, but my ED has a dedicated peds ED, and although I love children, I hate taking care of them and I feel like they'll want to put me over there more often. The pediatric codes/traumas do come into the main ED, though, so maybe I will look into it. Is it the same setup as the CEN exam?

Yes. Same set up. You will pass with little help. Study PALS and ENPC. Then look at your developmental milestones. How was the celebration?

As far as the celebration went... Test at 1330, found out my score at 1500, home and nap from 1730-2100 and work from 2300 to 0700 today. So pretty much my celebration consisted of 2 STEMI's, one bowel obstruction, 4 post op urinary retentions (weird to have 4 all within around 3 hours), and a whole slew of other funsies.

Congratulations!!
