Mar 8, 201511 yr There are no such thing as band 4 nurses. All nurses start at band 5. If you are being paid at band 4 then you are a healthcare assistant and not a nurse.See this link The minimum starting salary for a registered nurse is £21,478Pay rates 2014-15 - NHS Agenda for Change - RCNDoes that mean when you pass your CBT, all of us will start as a healthcare assistant? That once we pass the OSCE only then we can be registered thus band 5?
Mar 8, 201511 yr Until you have a PIN issued by the NMC you can not be classed as a nurse and will not be paid as a nurse. You need to ask the question to your employer on what you will be starting as until you get your PIN from the NMC

Mar 9, 201511 yr Hey everyone, I took my second attempt today and PASSED, so super happy, the test was poorly written with many grammar errors. Anyhow most of it is general nursing and things you would know, otherwise go with your gut feeling, worked for me. Walked out frustrated thinking I would fail again but got home and checked and passed. Good luck everyone.
Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!
