If you haven't got a confirmation email I don't know how good the chances are, hopefully it works out though. Have you heard from them yet? I complained to the university and they've given me another date option for the 18th, so I've taken that now. i'm not sure if they've added that to the portal or not, but I have got the confirmation email and finally have access to the learning portal.

How can they cancel all these dates, doesn't make sense. Have they given you access to the learning portal yet? I still haven't got it.

I thought they were finally letting aussies through, but it just seems to be jumping through hoops now. I just want to work as a nurse so badly. Thanks thoug, hopefully you progress soon too!

Has anyone else got screwed over by Northampton University? I originally booked for September 2nd and they sent me an email a few days later to say it has been moved to the 3rd of September (no apologies offered) I had already booked a hire care, so i postponed that for the 3rd of September incurring a small fee, and I re-booked on the portal. Today I received another email to say the September 2nd has been cancelled ( as I was already aware), so i checked whether they meant the 2nd or 3rd was cancelled as i had re-booked for the 3rd. They replied saying the 3rd was never an option. I sent back a screenshot of the email they sent to confirm the 3rd, still no apologies, they just state 'human error'. They are now saying next available dates are the 8th (I have a trip booked which I made plans after my exam was booked) or the 28th. They are just like the NMC!!!!

Hi, I am also a UK citizen who trained in Aus. Just wandering if you worked in Aus and are registered with AHPRA? I have been contacting AHPRA to fill out the registration form to confirm my details and they are saying they no longer fill out forms to confirm registration. Just wandering if you had the same deal and how did you get around the form? Thanks.

Hey everyone, I took my second attempt today and PASSED, so super happy, the test was poorly written with many grammar errors. Anyhow most of it is general nursing and things you would know, otherwise go with your gut feeling, worked for me. Walked out frustrated thinking I would fail again but got home and checked and passed. Good luck everyone.

Yes NMC is similar to other organisations in terms of lack of communication and information they give, although they are not the only one who is poor it does not make okay or acceptable. We are here to share our experiences, vent with each other to make it easier to deal with. if you are not going through this same process i don't understand why you're on here? It comes across as rude to say the least. This process is tough, but your comments are aggravating please refrain, it is doing no good.

to Silverdragon102: yes we are all happy for it to be hard, but fair and consistent is the main point we're getting at. I was happy to do the English test, though raised in an English speaking country and also am a British citizen, I am also happy to do the tests and the course and prove competence but I am not happy for poorly worded testing, and completing a test i felt I got at least 80-90% on but find out I have failed. Also in other countries the Nursing board take the time to respond to emails and often give helpful information, whereas NMC ignore most questions asked.

I wish! Something is going on with this though. I just got an email from NMC to say my results from the test are "now in" though have been for weeks. I was so excited thinking they might have changed it to a pass.. no luck . But it's strange they're resending and changing attempts etc. I want to know whats happening. So mysterious NMC.
