I was taking the nclex in Long Island. I went to break two times in the bathroom to urinate. The lady from Pearson vue came up to me in the bathroom and accused of cheating when I was not doing anything in the bathroom. I had one piece of napkin that has nothing in it. When I tried to go to back in there and finish my test. She said no and asked me to leave. So far I was on 179 question. I do not understand I tried to plead with her. she even threaten to call the police. Are those people allow to do so. I took the test on Thursday I am still waiting my result. What should be my next step? I m scared. Please help.

You'll probably be prohibited from retaking the NCLEX for a 12-month period. This is the punishment typically bestowed upon people who do not follow testing center rules, even if they were not cheating.
When Pearson Vue's rules explicitly say no phones, papers, or items can be in your pockets or on your person while testing, they mean business.
I do not have any hold. I keep having the good pop up. How do you know they going to ban me from having my license. I m freaking out

Even if you pass your test, you were kicked out of the testing center for suspicion of cheating because you had forbidden material in your possession.
Typically, when people do not follow directions regarding having forbidden objects with them during testing, it appears they could be cheating. The rules are very clear at the testing centers yet some people continue to break the rules. Several posters have been suspended for a year or I believe one was indefinitely, for using their phone on a break.
Rules are rules. The board and Pearson Vue value the integrity of the test to make sure there is no breech in security or cheating. The fact you are under suspicion means your license could be in jeopardy.

You were not allowed to finish the test because of being in possession of writing material even if it was blank. For all they know you were about to write down questions for classmates that haven't taken the test yet. You were asked to leave, which means you automatically fail. You agreed and signed that you understood their rules, which you broke, so there is no appeal.

You would not be eligible to pay for a new exam if you are under investigation so attempting the magic 8 ball Pearson Vue trick is nor realistic . You did not finish your exam therefore you cannot possibly pass. Suspicion of cheating & failing to follow the rules are taken very seriously by NCSBN, PV, & BoN. You will be lucky to be permitted to retake the exam.
You were dismissed from the exam, you have no chance of passing

I didn't finish the exam, there is no way you passed. You are most likely getting the so-called "good pop-up" because your situation is being investigated and you cannot re-register until a decision is made.
Also, PV doesn't ban you from getting a license, just from access to the exam to gain licensure. Those are two different things.
The BoN bars you from licensing. Pearson Vue reports the incident to QA & the BoN. The BoN makes the decision whether the accusation of academic dishonesty/cheating against you are egregious enough to simply cancel your first unfinished exam& let you try again or cancel the unfinished exam and bar you from license or cancel your unfinished exam results and take adverse action against your future license

Yes, these people do mean business. I took my RN exam on Sept 28th and they took my phone and sealed it in a bag. I was not allowed to have it when I took a break. I got it back after I completed my exam and the Pearson worker had to cut the bag open for me. They made me empty my pockets and of course had nothing. I have to agree with the other posters. I don't see how you passed when you got kicked out of the testing center. I hope you learn a good lesson and use better judgement if you shall be allowed to test again. Good luck.

How long did it take you to get 179 questions? I'm honestly curious why two breaks to use the restroom were needed in that time.

I took NCLEX a few years ago. I read fast, and don't suffer text anxiety. (I suffer other anxieties, but not test). I had 75 questions in 15 minutes. At one point, I started to put my hand on my lap, thought better of it, and put it back on the desk. I made sure to flip my hand over so that both sides would be visible to the camera, just so there wouldn't be any question of my cheating. My state participates in quick results, but it took a week, instead of 48 hours, before I could access them. When I called, I was told my test was being reviewed. She made it sound like they were watching the video.
They take the slightest suspicion of cheating very seriously. People's lives depend on us, would you want someone who possibly cheated their way into a license to be responsible in a life determining decision?
