Need some Help

I have started working on the Excelsior Program in September, I got about halfway through some of the materials for A&P & Lifespan Development Psychology. Now I am having an extremely hard time regaining motivation to finish the material and take the test. Any ideas to keep my mind on the material?? Help me pwease!!:nurse:

Try starting with what you are most familar with or interested in,then just dig in and do it. After you finish your first test give yourself a small reward. it is hard to stay focused. Leo2

Especially when I am working full time too. I have a good friend that is doing the program with me, we try to motivate each other. Still tough at times though... Guess I needed a lil rant

It might be helpful to take Part A of the EC Practical Exam to see where you need to focus on if you haven't already.

Stay motivated!!! It will be worth it at the end

For me, the one time i had trouble getting motivated, I just went ahead and set the test date up, then knew i'd have to learn the material, or lose the money one, and that wasn't an option:-)

Pay for the exam. That was my big motivator.

I take the boards on Monday. You'll get there!

You'e got to WANT it. Truly. That's the key. You can DO this... if you WANT it badly enough. ;)

This is so true! Thanks for the reminder. We Can All Do This if we BELIEVE in ourselves. Traci

I second that Sue. Good Luck on your boards. I will be sending cool, calming thoughts your way...and positive vibes. You will be an RN! Traci:D

On your bulletin board or on the fridge, pin up your cancelled check for the exam or a copy of it or your bank or credit card statement showing the charge for it, to remind yourself of your monetary investment. One by one, do this for each exam to remind yourself of the money you will waste if you don't continue. Don't study for both exams at once. You probably have overloaded yourself right now. Pick one of them. Schedule the test and concentrate on that one until you've done the test. That will help motivate you to finish the other one. Good luck.

Ok so I scheduled my exams today. Lifespan is in January, (more than enough time since I am over half through) and A&P is in February. There is no turning back now.

One foot in front of the other.

Congratulations on taking that step!
