Took NC3 today and got an A! :) I almost jumped up and down when my grade came up, seriously. I feel like I studied really hard (and really well) for this one. Yay!!

Already scheduled NC4 for September 4. Movin' right along ... :D

I'm sure you'll do well on it! Once you get the first one out of the way, it's a really great feeling. :D

Thanks! I had heard that, reading the traffic on the YahooGroups and other places. I have to admit this was the most daunting one yet, because of its reputation and because it covers 8 subject areas! Good grief. I've heard that, with the revised curriculum for those who enroll after October 1, they're splitting NC3 into two tests. I think it might have been two tests in the past, too. Not sure about that.

Slight side topic: I read in another thread that you went through EC as an EMT-I -- have you kept up your EMT-I cert, or are you only practicing as an RN? I'm an EMT-P, and I'd like to keep my National Registry, but it's such a pain to get 72 CEUs every two years as a volunteer! It gets almost painful right around that March 31 deadline, ha ha. At least my Virginia EMT-P is good for three years -- that's not as bad. I'd like to work as an RN in the ED where I work now, but also keep my P ... we'll have to see how that works out. Luckily I just re-certified my P this year, so I won't have to be CEU-hunting while doing my EC exams. :)

Congrats on the exam...I am taking it in two weeks. Furthering your side note, Excelsior told me that they will absolutely flat out deny any medic without a "P" next to their certs. I think they used to take "I"'s but have since changed. I would keep certs up by trying to get as many free classes that your schedule can spare.

Oh, absolutely ... my P is good until March 2009. I anticipate being done with EC in 2008 (the NC exams by December 2007, and the CPNE thereafter, if I'm lucky!! :D).

ok i have just scored a 76 on my nc1 practice exam...i'm moving to nc 3 .
