  1. Thanks...I am hoping that maybe one day they will get a drilling reserve situation whereas I could be in the USPHS but drill one weekend a month - two weeks in the summer ala DOD uniformed services. I really like what I hear about the USPHS but I also like my current job and just wish I could combine both..
  2. Hello, I was hoping that maybe somebody had some answers about the USPHS reserve opportunities. When I google that it comes up with active duty reserves for commisioned officers but when you go to the USPHS site they make no mention of any reserve opportunities...only active duty. Does anybody know about reserve potential? I am only interested in USPHS not the military branches. Thanks in advance -
  3. You could always get licensed in Virginia or any other state that will accept it and work at a federal facility in Maryland like a VA hospital, military base, or federal correctional facility. Or you can bust your hump and try and finish EC and get licensed before the end of the year. I'm not sure if this is possible depending on CPNE dates but maybe worth looking into. Or for people living in Montgomery County....just go to Fairfax
  4. Congrats on the exam...I am taking it in two weeks. Furthering your side note, Excelsior told me that they will absolutely flat out deny any medic without a "P" next to their certs. I think they used to take "I"'s but have since changed. I would keep certs up by trying to get as many free classes that your schedule can spare.
