Thanks for explaining. I had figured some things out over the last 2 days, but not others.

Have you scrapped the idea to spin off another site, particularly one just for the students? That would go a long way to make everything more manageable while keeping the two major areas, students and things of interest to nurses. I preferred the 24 hour listing and hope you don't get rid of it all together. I also miss the who is online function and the ability to change the overall color scheme like we had for a short while. Just thought I'd throw out my druthers if you're interested.

who's online feature still available --- just click on line " # readers online" under site map to open link.

example: 3,447 readers online

what's new (next to site map on gold toolbar) has list of new posts made.

names of those reading each forum can be ound at bottom of each section .`

As to the last 24 hours caliotter3 . .. that is still available but under the "My Account" tab at the bottom.

I'm not sure another split is a good idea - having 3 parts instead of 2.

Too isolating for the students, I think. But I should let them speak for themselves.

There has been a lot of comments made about the proliferation of student posts lately, particularly when posted in inappropriate forums. I would like to see a site that I can go to when I want to read posts about the nursing side of things, instead of constant student only posts. It was stated when central branched off for off topic posting that there would be more branching, but I guess not so.

Joe's statement about the 24 hour link being obsolete implies to me that in the future it will no longer even be under accounts. I've been using the new posts link since the change and still prefer the 24 hour link, so I hope it stays around, even if harder to reach.

When I click on the readers online blurb under site map/what's new/log out , nothing happens. That link went dead on my AN window at the time the wording was changed several weeks ago.

Maybe Joe just meant it was obsolete where it used to be?

I usually check my own subscribed threads first. Then go to the new posts, which is "What's New" now. Sometimes I did the 24 hour one if it was a slow day on allnurses.

As to the other stuff - I'll let those who are involved in that discussion . .discuss it.

I prefer the Last 24 Hours thing. I don't like the What's New at all. I don't think that was a necessary or helpful change.

It is still there - under "My Account" at the very bottom.
