Married Nurses...

Hello all. My wife and I have been reading posts on this website for atleast a year. We just joined and this is our first post. We are both RNs, graduated together, work in the same hospital and same schedule. We just don't work the same floor.

I just hope we can provide some positive input on some of the questions posted by new nurses or students. Also relate to nurses that vent on here. Sometimes a few good words from your peers can make your day a little easy after coming home from a tough shift.

Hope you all have a good weekend. I sure will, football season just started... GO PANTHERS

Hi GQRN. My husband and I are a pair of nurses also. We both grad. in 1984. We've had pretty different experiences over the years, but are working for the same agency right now.

Welcome.

Welcome!

It must be nice to have someone that you can relate to when you have a tough day. I know if I start talking about school or nursing my husbands eyes just glaze over :)

got that right! my husband (this is #2) does the same thing. i swore if i ever got remarried again, it was going to be someone who was in healthcare and had some sort of clue about my job...what did i do??? aaargh!!!!! he's a keeper none the less even if he still has no clue about my work. btw he is a wonderful cook and many nights has dinner ready when i get home from a bad day in the micu.

That's for sure. But he still listens to me. He's an engineer, and to me his work is extremely boring, but I still listen to him talk about his day too.

Make sure those Panthers keep Carr off his back this season so he can get some stuff done for you all.....:lol2:

I kinda like that my husband isn't in this field. He's a musician...I need someone who keeps my life in perspective and sings to me. He's also been known to meet me at the door with a glass of cold wine on those particularly horrible days. He rocks.
