Manly patterned scrubs

Hello, everyone. I am a pre-nursing student and a STNA, which is the Ohio equivalent of a CNA. I work in a long term care facility that requires the aides to wear navy blue scrub bottoms but allows us to wear any scrub top we like. Unfortunately, when my parents went out to look for a nice patterned scrub top to give me as a Christmas present, they discovered that the patterned scrubs at the local uniform shop were all VERY girly, and ended up giving me a very nice solid burgundy top instead. Likewise, I have not found any manly patterned scrubs in my own searches of local stores. Lots of cutesy, girly prints, but never a paisley, pinstripe, Hawaiian, or western print to be found. I was wondering if the other guys on this forum had any better luck, and if so where such scrubs could be bought, presumably online.

I don't know if you like the Avengers but this site has Captain America, Thor, and the Hulk.http://www.uniformcountry.com/Category.aspx?CategoryId=21

You might also look in chef catalogs. One of my co-workers has a chili pepper top he got from one.

I'm not 100 percent convinced that "manly" and "patterned scrubs" go hand in hand.

Go to scrub.com you will find a lot variety. I got the same problem in the beginning . Good luck

I have never found a patterned scrub that didn't make me feel foolish once I put it on. Solid tops and actual pants with a belt are all that I wear.

I'd like to find some woodland cammo scrubs... I could wear them hunting as well. lol

Saw this scrub top in my local Goodwill and thought of this post!

Do you have to wear a patterned scrub or can you just get away with a straight color??? I agree with most of the males on this group that a pattern scrub top does not equal manly.

I have 5 scrub sets all straight solid colors because my facility said where whatever color or pattern you like.

Manly + Patterned = Oymoron

I wear black scrubs pants and a solid white top. Free advice exactly what you paid for.

Buy mens tops and not the unisex tops. I got some mens tops, the fit is so much better. Nothing baggy to get caught on crap.

"Manly?" I remember, MANY years ago, watching Jessie "The Bod" Ventura on WWF. He was being interviewed after a "match." Jessie was wearing pink leotards and God knows/remembers WHAT tank top with a pink feathered boa. When asked about his attire by the interviewer, his reply was (something to the effect): "Hey, with a bod like mine, I can wear anything!" You could FEEL the glare through is sunglasses. A "real" man is not governed by his attire, but by his "attitude," confidence and competency.

So, my friend, go out and get that Garfield scrub top. Strut your "stuff!"
