Live Chat - Why dont we use it??

I personally enjoy live chat and was wondering if anyone ever facilitated that feature of allnurses.com. I've been in there a few times and it seems no one is ever there. I think more people would visit that feature if it was somehow emphasized and advertised. Maybe people just do not realize it is there. I would really enjoy talking with other nursing professionals in a live chat format and think that others feel the same way.

Maybe some of us are still unlearned about the web and don't know how it works... but are afraid to ask.

Hey, what if you started a thread saying when you were going to be in there--I bet more people would come if they knew they wouldn't be alone. Maybe give a quick tutorial to people who hadn't done it before. I haven't tried that option here, but have on other boards and it's kind of fun.

I can't type fast enough. I'd get left in the dust ! :o

Is there anybody out there?

There are some there occasionally,, sometimes there is no one. I think evening hours seem to see more action in the chat room.

I have NEVER seen anyone in it. :)

I was just in there and was the only one there. I guess one needs to make an appointment.

I'l l go check it out....quickly.... :chuckle

Uh oh...where is it?

Ok...found it....nobody was there for the 1 minute I popped my head in. :p

Curious about it after reading this post---went there and no one around. Oh well.

Keen to use it now, since I found out about it. I will check in when I can to see if anyone is on it, once in a while. Be good to chat :)

Today I actually downloaded the chat room. You need to make sure that you download Netscape first, just in case you can't download the chat room in your regular browser. I was the only one there. I think that we should log in at the same time and help each other by motivating one another for nursing. Instead of posting and waiting to get replied 3 days later.

How about we all pick a time that is most convinient and we work it out once we get responses.

It's really easy to download. Log in first and then click at chat on the top of this page and download, if you can't download on your browser, download Netscape. :)

Depends on when we have free time/off from work! :chuckle
