Is in anyone in a nursing program that does not require chemistry as a pre-req

Hi,

Just wanted to know if anyone is in a nursing program that doesn't require chemistry. Or does anyone know a school that doesn't require it as a pre-req!

It is not recommended in S. CA, but strongly suggested, sooooooo of course, I'm not taking it. Although it's true that I will have to take it for my BSN eventually. Heather

I go to school in Ill at a small community college it is on the list but if you get a good grade in Bio they don't make you take it . This is for an ADN program

Im a LPN in Ohio taking pre-reqs for a RN program. All the programs i know of, require four sciences..one of them chemistry. Good Luck!

I am at a college in Atlanta. I took Chemistry and when I received my acceptance letter I found out they had changed the curriculum and Chem was not needed.:(

If you decide to go further for the BSN you will need the chemistry so I am kind of glad I took it.

I am attending a BSN program in MI that required me to take 13 credits of chemistry...:eek: I hated every moment of it, but I got through it! You can too.... It's not that bad!

The program I am enrolled in does not require Chemistry as a pre-req. Chemistry is taken during the 5th semester of a 7 semester RN program.

The school is Deaconess College of Nursing. They offer traditional on campus nursing programs and distance ed as well.
