I go in everyday and check temps of people delivering meals. I left stuff so the kitchen staff can self check. It takes about an hour a day.

my district does not want anyone entering the building except parents / students to get meals, which happens through a pass box in the office. I have some paperwork to do, and have to figure it out without going there

I’d rather not be here... I have to drive an hour to take temps for 20 minutes.. then an hour back home.
it'd be better if they didn't create the potential exposure for everyone. You don't need a medical license to take a temp. Are they just doing this to justify paying you?

Nope. I’m paid if I’m here or not.

all our buildings are closed, but they are asking us to work for the city as public health nurses, working the phone hot lines from home with our laptops and cell phones. I signed up but havent been called upon yet. (we are a large city and have over 100 school nurses).

Us too. We have been told not to come unless you absolutely need to and then to get in and get out as fast as possible. I have to log everything that I have to do to justify my pay though, otherwise I have to take a sick day. I have about 20 IEPs to get through this month, so I have plenty of work, but still thought that was odd that they don't just trust that I'll just do my job.

Can't that be delegated?
